From the moment that we saw this home we knew that it would be a perfect getaway to attend our daughter's wedding in Berkeley, California. Its charm and warmth won us over immediately. Everything described was not only accurate but even more beautiful than we expected. Our family consisted of four adults and two friends who were very happy with the rooms and the flow of the house. The master suite was exceptionally nice with great views of the back garden and a southern view of the Oakland hills. The main living space allowed everyone to flow from inside to the gorgeous outdoors which had tables and chairs and made everyone feel comfortable. The garden is beautifully landscaped with mature and majestic trees and lovely white roses which set the garden off wonderfully. Our hosts were so accommodating and offered extra chairs and ice chests for our use and had good suggestions for local vendors. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils that we didn't have to worry about purchasing anything for the dishes we prepared. The kitchen had everything we needed including two ovens. I cannot say enough about the views from the verandas at the front of the house to the lavish beauty of the gardens. It was hard to leave; we loved the house and had a wonderful time being there. We would definitely stay again and recommend this home to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Oakland hills and California living at its best.
