A Rare Find!
I have never felt compelled to write a review before now. Being married to the ultimate perfectionist usually puts a damper on travel, and my husband, after choosing some of the leading hotels in the world can find fault with them all. It has gotten to the point now that I rarely unpack upon arrival, as inevitably he demands that we switch rooms at least once, if not twice, during our stay. I am now back in Manhattan after spending an incredible week in Nantucket at 14 Still Dock. The bed was extremely comfortable, dressed in luxury linens. There were no issues about restaurants or nightlife as town was a short two minute walk away. It was fun strolling thru the lovely gardens off old North Wharf. The cottage was pristine, had beautiful artwork and everything looked brand new. My ten year old son Connor was delighted with his room, especially the state-of-the-art flat screen tv. His daily trips to the corner bakery for breakfast on his own gave Connor a sense of independence and freedom we could never allow in New York City and is something he will remember for a long time. I was a little worried that we would have trouble sleeping in a quiet beach town after the noise of the city but there was just enough clatter to make us feel right at home. All in all this place is truly a remarkable find and we will be returning soon and often.
