Fairbanks Cabin Rental Photos and Description
1 Bedroom (Sleeps 2) NO bathroom or running water! Comfy King Size Log Bed

Please DO NOT contact the front desk at the resort to rent this cabin or ask anything about it. It is privately owned & operated. Unfortunately, they will not be able to assist you. Thanks!

2 PERSON MAXIMUM - ONE KING SIZE BED ONLY.

It is a DRY cabin which means it does NOT have a BATHROOM or running water like all of the cabins on the resort property. However, there is a restroom open 24 hours per day in the Activity Center for your use.

The cabin is completely renovated and looks and feels like a deluxe cabin with nice amenities. All other resort owned cabins are occupied by employees and are not available for rent.

Bathrooms are only a ONE minute walk from the cabin in the Activity Center (24 hours daily-best option), the Pool House lobby (7AM-12AM) or $15 daily fee per person per day, to use the showers and rock lake, Full Service Restaurant/Lounge (7AM-10PM). 3 outhouses are within a 30 second walk available 24 hours a day for that truly Alaskan experience.

FYI - We only rent the cabin for a 2 NIGHT MINIMUM.

So whether you want to book and stay only one night, we block the cabin for a 2 night stay. There is no discount for only staying one night.

However, you won't have to check out by 11AM the next morning. It makes for a leisurely visit and you can stay a little later the next morning since the cabin has been reserved for the 2nd night.

Enjoy a truly once in a lifetime rustic Alaskan experience by staying in our adorable cabin on the resort property!

The cabin is the ONLY one available for rent at the resort and located next to the Moose Lodge.

Heated with an oil heated stove keeping it warm and toasty even in the coldest temperatures!

Comfy King Size Log Bed.

We loved this cabin! We were here for three nights and it was perfect! Thank you for the snacks and drinks!!! We left a few for the next guests. The bed is perfect and we watched many, many movies. We recommend to all guests in winter to go dog sledding and take a plane ride. We had an incredible night of viewing the aurora. What an experience. Another Tip: Try the lamb chops in the restaurant; they're outrageous! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful time! The hot springs were great, especially in the snow. The cabin is amazing, so cozy and comfortable. I brought my fiancé up here as a surprise for his birthday and we had a really wonderful time. We love all the photographs of the Northern Lights and the Chihuly glass. The fact that when it's snowing outside, you can stay in here and be warm and watch the snow come down. Thank you for all of the energy and time and effort you have put into making this place such a welcoming home away from home. We didn't see any Northern Lights this time, which was a little sad, but we will see them on our next trip up to Chena.

Nice cabin but over-priced and lacks storage

On the positive side, the cabin in very nice, clean, and comfortable. We would have two reservations about staying there again, however. The first is the cost for what you get. We stayed for two nights in July 2013. The two-night total came to $336, including all the various add-on fees. This seemed excessive for such a small cabin with no running water. In addition, we had to pay $15 per day per person (not $10 as the VRBO site says) to use the bathing facilities, for a total of $60 on top of the cabin rental. The second problem is that there is no storage space, i.e., no closets or drawers; and nearly all the surfaces in the cabin are packed with the owner's belongings. There is just no space to put your stuff.

I stayed in this cabin at a perfect time of the year in Alaska. The one-room space is bright and tastefully appointed. It was warm, clean, and located right on the hot springs property. I will recommend this fantastic cabin to anyone who wants to stay in a private spot that is quiet, yet right in the middle of ALL the action at Chena Hot Springs Resort.

The cabin experience was so much better than we thought it would be. Even with the no water problem, it was not so bad. It is beautiful, the bed is so comfortable and the scenery the best. I think we had the best place in the whole resort. Thanks Denise, Kathy and John Harding
Owner's Response: Thanks Kathy! So happy you and John had a great time in our little getaway!

My boyfriend and I were referred to this cabin by his mom, I'm soo glad we listened it was FANTASTIC!!! They had bottled water, snacks, and head lamps for comfort in and around the resort. The robes were really comfortable and warm, perfect for walking to the hot springs and back in our suits during winter. My boyfriends favorite part was the Aurora lighting in the cabin:) oh and he says the TV and movie selection was "right on" also. The bed was really comfortable and the linens smelled so fresh, the extra room we had without the dog was nice too. We will definitely be staying there on our future trips to Chena!!!!! If any of our friends are heading to the hot springs we will tell them to stay at the cabin.
Owner's Response: So happy you enjoyed your stay at our little Hot Springs getaway! We are dog friendly so you are welcome to bring your doggie on your next visit!
