In June, my husband, 7 year old daughter and brother-in-law all stayed at Villa Marquez. What a beautiful rental! It felt more like a home than a place we were temporarily staying. From the initial tour of the Island given by Adriana to the welcoming gift to the daily (one hour) maid service, we were incredibly comfortably and completely relaxed - our main objective was to explore the island.

Additionally, the kitchen has every amenity (except a dishwasher), and the place has satellite TV, WiFi, a barbeque and two rooms with ceiling fans and fantastic air conditioning.

My favorite part of Villa Marquez was the proximity to Playa Executiva (our favorite beach - a 5 minute walk from the home), and the available "world-class" snorkeling in front of their house - I mean literally, we began to schedule our time on our private beach at the bottom of the stairs at low tide, and went out about 100 yards - unbelievable! Also, I found our hosts to be the perfect balance of accessible, yet hands-off and invisible when we wanted to do our own thing. Any time we had a question, Jerry was eager to assist, and we had him help us with advice on shopping, beaches, local culture, the barge, how to treat insect stings, etc... He is from Washington state and Adrianna is from the States by way of Columbia - so they can add an interesting mix of perspective when needed.

From the silent nights to the incredible lightning shows to day after day of empty beaches and a constant island vibe, you will not go wrong with Villa Marquez. It was awesome!

What a magical vacation; we were here for 8 days. My wife, kids and myself were all fascinated with the gorgeous beaches, the flora and the fauna. Contadora has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Villa Marquez is very clean, comfortable, roomy, and has great views of the ocean. The villa is located in a very calm part of the island and the breeze is priceless. The hosts Adriana and Jerry were extremely courteous, friendly, and willing to go the extra-mile; they even gave us a tour of the island, with great stories and insight. We were very impressed by the clarity of the waters and the beautiful golden sandy beaches. Great snorkeling and scuba diving!! This island is very rich in sea creatures, fishes of all sizes & colors, rays, eels, turtles, crabs, going in & out of fantastic coral reefs.
The scenery was mind-blowing.
I’ve got to say that we enjoyed it so much we are making it our yearly vacation spot.

We spent 3 days on Contadora Island and it was the highlight of our trip to Panama. The guest house was clean, roomy, and well equipped. There was always a cool breeze at the house and we never needed to use the air conditioning.


Jerry and Adrianna were excellent hosts. They were friendly and willing to take us to the various restaurants and local stores for supplies. They knew we wanted to see the arrival of the supply barge, and when it came in, they drove around the island until they found us. They also gave us a tour of the island and pointed out the places of interest and explained a little about the history of the island. We visited 3 of the different beaches on the island and Executive beach was in easy walking distance. Their private beach provided good snorkeling and we saw stingrays, eels and a variety of fish.

We just spent 3 days there and was great. Adriana and Jerry are great hosts. The house is very well equipped and has everything you need and really comfortable. It is also located on the quiet side of the island, meaning far away from the airport.

We've been to Contadora many times but if you havent been there before, look no further. You are going to fall in love with the island. There are a lot of beaches you can go to, so basically a different beach everyday. We do hire a golf car everytime we go because there are a lot of hills and it's a hot weather.
