Completely remodeled apartment in classic, Marais building. High-end finishes such as Miele appliances, Bizazza, Italian mosaic bathroom, and Ligne Roset furnishings. Beautiful hardwood floors, fireplace and windows throughout. High ceilings with classic beams. As this apartment is on the top floor (elevator in building) and perched above the Parisian rooftops - it is extremely bright and cheerful. You cannot ask for a more central and charming location in Paris. Views to Pompidou Center, Notre Dame and even the Pantheon across town.
Walk out the front door and you are in the heart of the action in the Marais with endless cafés, restaurants, art galleries and shops in every direction. Just two blocks from banks of the Seine. This is arguably Paris's trendiest, most vibrant neighborhoods.
A note about the street and immediate vicinity: The Rue des Archives is one of Paris's most popular streets for going out in the evenings. There is a joyful atmosphere on the street and it is lined with cafés, restaurants and bars catering to all. There is a fair amount of street noise (from people dining and laughing, not cars) particularly on weekend nights. As the apartment is on the 6th floor, the noise is generally not an issue, and the apartment is, in fact quite quiet given it's central location.
The area is so popular with all French people, that on Sunday, many of the streets in the immediate vicinity are closed off to cars and motorcycles from 11am to the early evening. It is one of the only neighborhoods in Paris where the shops are open on Sunday.
