We took a last minute trip to Texoma before the kids had to go back to school! We rented this home, which was at the end of the road with a nice view of the lake. The water is only about a 50 yd walk from the home if you just want to take a stroll down by the lake. It was a peaceful location, & the home had everything we needed, except food & our personal care items. They even provided nice linens on the very comfortable beds, & towels in the bathroom & kitchen! The kitchen is very well equipped w/ a double oven, electric stove, microwave, fridge/freezer w/ built-in icemaker w/ everything you need to prepare & eat meals (pots, pans, serving bowls, platters, utensils, plates, glasses, large coffee mugs, BBQ utensils, BBQ lighter, coffee pot, toaster..even leftover containers for your use while you are there and even a corkscrew). The air conditioner works beautifully to keep the home cool. The master bedroom & the bedroom off the kitchen are a little warmer, but they stay cool if you leave the doors open so the air can circulate. The outdoor grill was nice & clean and there was even satellite TV, a DVD player, a movie library & a couple of games in the TV cabinet. There is no internet, which would bother me if I was traveling on business, but it was nice that the kids weren't tied to their computers/gaming & they actually interracted with each other & played board & card games together at the coffee table & watched the game show network while I cooked meals! It was a wonderful bonding experience for our relatively new blended family. There is only one shower, but it worked out fine for us with our family of 7 (we split between morning and evening)...& the water pressure in the shower was really good! The neighbor behind the home & resident manager for the owner (Jeral) was such a sweet, gentle soul & was very helpful with anything we needed! There is even a dock for your boat, however, the water was too low to use it this time, but don't let that deter you. Lighthouse Marina is only about a 3 min drive away & it's only $5 to launch from there! They also have pontoon boat rentals at Lighthouse (plus tubes, kayaks, etc) & a general store there, and the lady that runs the place is very nice! We will definitely go back & would definitely recommend this rental! Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home! ITEMS TO BRING: Food/drinks, personal care items, coffee, cooking oil, charcoal/fluid, foil, baggies, fishing poles, water shoes, sunscreen, bug spray)

We recently stayed here for a family get-together. The house was clean and kitchen was very well-equipped. We had a wonderful time. The beds were Sooo comfortable Gerald was very helpful and accomodating. Lots of privacy and a great view of the lake. We will be back

My family spent the Fourth of July Weekend at this charming cottage. We had a very nice experience. The house was IMMACULATE AND DECORATED WITH CHARM. Just a short walk to the lake. Everything we needed was there. Enjoyed visiting with Gerald. Hopefully we can go back again. I am sure it will be delightful in the fall when the weather is cool and the trees are turning.

If you want to swim - it's a short walk (like 1 minute) to the lake.

If you want boating/fishing - there are several marinas, guides, and boat ramps within a short drive of the house.

If you just want to relax at the lake - the covered patio, living room, den, and kitchen table all have a great view of the lake. You have just about everything else you need for a great weekend - A/C, TV/DVD, breeze, grill, comfortable/clean beds, kitchen stuff, and a great view.

Gerald - the gentleman that handles things on-site, is a great guy, and very helpful if you need anything while you're there.

We plan to go back - you can't go wrong - do it.

My husband and I rented this place over Labor Day to meet up with our son and family from Norman, Oklahoma, and daughter and family from Houston, Texas....total of 10 people. The layout of the home worked wonderfully for us all - everyone had their own sleeping quarters, and we all convened in the living areas for TV, relaxing and fellowship. We so enjoyed sitting on the patio in the mornings having our coffee and visiting! Our daughter brought their boat, and we enjoyed tubing and wakeboarding, as well as the beautiful sandy beaches we found around the lake. (The ones of us who fished didn't catch anything, unfortunately, but still had a great time!) We will definitely consider renting this place again if we are down that way in the future! The neighbor, Gerald, was very friendly - and gave us lots of useful information while we were there.

We stayed at the property for 4 nights and enjoyed every day! There was plenty of room for everyone. The house has such a nice plan with 3 nice size bedrooms (2 of them very large) with a wonderful open area that includes the living, dining and kitchen. It has plenty of space for a family to spread out and also have privacy. The covered patio is a huge plus also with lovely views of the lake. The house is very nicely appointed and the beds were very comfortable as you would find in an upscale hotel.
You feel like you are totally secluded but there are very nice neighbors close by if you need anything special or any help. We would certainly stay again! The owners are very personable and accommodating.

My family really enjoyed ourselves when we visited this little gem. The house was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The ammenities were top notch. There was a huge grill on the patio and up to date appliances that made our stay fabulous. The house sits right on the lake for convenient fishing and recreational water activities. Our overall experience at this property would have to be excellent. There was absolutly nothing to complain about. I will definitely be visiting again!
