What we liked the best ? Where to start...

What we liked the best ??? Where to start...
The beach is perfect, the house was perfect - to wake up
each morning to such a magnificent view, thought I was
in heaven. The town and the people were also beautiful,
we were the only "tourists" the entire week...it was the
most relaxing and wonderful vacation I have ever had.
My granddaughter wants to start making plans to go there
next year and bring her other grandmother along also!
Christian and his wife were so helpful and sweet -
you are lucky to have someone like them to help you
with the house. I wished that I had brought blank CDs
so that I could have copied the 2 CDs that you have at
the house - I listened to them the entire time.
Don't be surprised if you "hear" from me in the near
future to book for next year! Thank you again for
sharing your little piece of heaven....Cathey
Owner's Response: Hola!

Thanks for posting your great Review on my Property.
I am glad you din't pay too much attention to the Swinflu Hype that CNN created at that time.
You came in May 2009, and i would like to thank you for that.
And your reward? Your comment speaks for itself.
I am Happy that your granddaughter loved it so much, and that you are planning on returning next year again.
Gracias for sharing it to other future guests

Trip to El Cuyo

Rosalita Mexico City
Review Submitted: September 27, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My trip to El Cuyo was the most enjoyable experience that we could have wished for.

This is the perfect place to relax, it is so quiet at night that you can also see the shooting stars; I would highly recommend.

Thank you for all the care and guidance you supplied from the moment I contacted you to the moment we sadly said our goodbyes to your beautiful town.

Thank you for everything you did an awesome job. The weather was perfect. We can’t wait to go back! Less than 2 hours from Cancun, definitely will be back.

Regards,

Rosy

Many people from the big cities are looking in El Cuyo for some time "Off", and enjoy what nature has to offer, and spent quality time with Family and Friends in the Sun and on the Beach.
Hope to welcome you again in the future!
And thanks for commenting your Experience with other's..

Hi Mattias, I had stayed at your other house, Villa del Faro, and loved it, but with four visitors from the US I needed a larger place. Hacienda Villa del Cuyo was perfect for us. It was very pretty, and cool, and there was plenty of room to sleep us all comfortably. As with Villa del Faro, you made sure the house was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and home entertaining--right down to the game boards and books. The most delicious thing was walking out the door, with the palms on both sides, right down that beautiful white sandy beach and into the Gulf of Mexico. There were plenty of chaise lounges for us all, and the shaded porch with a view to the water was lovely. Someone had said to watch at night for the turtles coming out of the water. I didn't see that, but when we were standing by the water as the sun was in its last stages of setting, a young man drove up in an ATV and asked me if I wanted to release this little thing that he had in his hand. It was a baby turtle! I put him (the turtle, not the young man) into the surf and watched him swim away. I still get a little choked up at the thought of those tiny flippered legs going every which way in the water. I wouldn't have had that experience if it wasn't for the house being where it was. It's a beautiful, restful place, Mattias, and I look forward to staying there again and again. Gracias!
Owner's Response: Hola Tey,

i am happy that you had a wonderful time in my beachhouse Hacienda Villa del Cuyo as well.
Especially releasing a baby turtle into
the ocean must have been a once in a lifte time kind of experience....
I am happy that my guests are able to enjoy moments like this...this motivates me to keep on renting out my homes.
Thanks you as well for taking good care of it.
Please come back soon, and recommend us to possible future visitors!

El Cuyo is what WE like

hiromar Mexico City, Mexico
Review Submitted: March 3, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
We are from Mexico City and have been going to Cancun, Akumal,Tulum in the past, but over the last 5 Years to El Cuyo...you must know El Cuyo is still how Cancun and Akumal looked like many Years ago, but now they became very touristy, expensive and crowded for our taste.
El Cuyo is what WE prefer, authentic, filled with Palmtrees, local cuisine in small rustic Restaurants in casual Atmosphere.

In El Cuyo you will be mixed with Locals and a few Tourists that rent the Holiday Homes on the Beach, and if you know a bir spanish it woul help..the Streets are made out of Sand..and for the fun of it we always rent Golfcarts and go around the Village.
Here some info on our Experience with our rentals in el Cuyo:
Our Vacations in El Cuyo are always great and a lot of fun....its just so nice to get away from Mexico City. To begin the road to get there is in good conditions, easy and safe and the drive thru numerous Mayan Villages with lots of Bumps is 2.5 hours from Cancun. When I arrived at the villa it was clean and the caretakers expected us right there...exactly what we were looking for. The directions to get to the house were easy, and its just on the beach and located in a very peaceful part of town. We always buy some groceries before we get there, but the little shops that are in town are well supplied for basic needs, if you want you can get your big shopping done at Walmart in Cancun or Tizimin. All the days were just great, the ocean and beach is beautiful with a lot of colors because the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico get together in this part of the Yucatan Peninsula. At night I did a fire place on the beach and I've never seen so many stars in the sky. Right after sunset you can spot the Satellites passing over...a great Experience
The Villa we rent ( Villa del Faro ,Villa Hacienda, villa flamingo)) depends on how many of us go... are very well supplied, it has cable TV, the kitchen is fully equipped, the sofas are confortable as so are the beds. The caretakeres are nice and invite us always for fesh Seafood and bring it over to the Villas...and we eat it on the Beachterrace..Lobster season stars july 1st and ends August 31st( our favourite time for us in El Cuyo)..they have also several fishing Tournaments during the year.
We will contunue to go back to El Cuyo every Year..
Owner's Response: Hola Hiram and Family!

Good to hear that you had a wonderful time in my house again.
I am glad that you have been a true "Cuyo Fan" over the last 5 years.

Come back again and recommend us to your friends,..

Saludos from the Yucatan

..a vacation in all senses of the word!

Review Submitted: January 8, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Hi Mattias!!

We are back in the states after a great vacation! El Cuyo was fantastic and the house was perfect. Cristian took excellent care of us and provided us with anything we may have needed. We mostly just lied on the beach and read- we didn't realize the town would be SO small but, that didn't really matter. The only thing that was hard was I don't eat fish and most of the restaurants around there only served fish. We ate at the hotel though and they had chicken and steak so that worked out just fine! The weather was beautiful- especially the last day. There wasn't even a cloud in the sky! El Cuyo was definitely a great experience-- a vacation in all senses of the word. We took the bus from cancun to colonia and then transferred in colonia to the bus to el cuyo. It was fairly easy. Thanks again for such a great vacation spot!

Hope you had a very happy holidays and thanks again for all your help!

Best,
Carly
Owner's Response: Hola Carly,

I would like to thank you for that great review.
It always is much better to hear or see comments from someone that has been to Puerto del Cuyo.
Juan mentioned that you even like the beach better than in Puerto Morelos or Cancun, where most of the beach eroded away!
Puerto del Cuyo has still a superb white sandy beach, that you have to share only with a few other lucky vacationers there.
Recommend Puerto del Cuyo to your friends and families, and we hope we can welcome you again in the future.
Also thnaks for sending me the nice foto you took from the groundfloor terrace on the beach.
saludos from the sunny yucatan, mattias

Great sandy beach and exellent fishing

Mazatlanian Miami, Florida
Review Submitted: March 14, 2008 Date of Stay: February 2008
Went there with my wife and 4 kids ( 19, 15, 10 and 3 years) and had a wonderful Family time. Great place to get the family together and enjoy swimming, collecting seashells, stargazing, fishing, etc.
The house was very clean, people are very friendly and the seafood is very good, fresh and inexpensive.
We really very fortunate to rent your home, since it is the nicest beachrental there.
Owner's Response: great that you had a nice vacation with your family, please recommend my places!

Unspoilt Dream in Wonderful Home

Review Submitted: February 1, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2007
We are so glad we have chosen Hacienda Villa del Cuyo over the other rentals in your Area. After getting there we would have been dissapointed renting anywhere else in the town..( exept for the Lighthouse Villa del Faro) since that is yours, too!! It was like you discribed....home is wonderful, congratulations, you have done a great job there.
Your caretakers where sweet as well, prepared exellents meals, darwin took us out on a fishing trip, the locals were extremely friendly, had fun collecting seashells, driving around with the Golfcarts,....and finally we got to read books again!!
And all that for a very reasonable price away from the Tourists....thanks again...we will promote your place!!

Jederzeit wieder nach El Cuyo

Review Submitted: October 7, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
Owner's Response: Hola,
