El Cuyo is what WE like

We are from Mexico City and have been going to Cancun, Akumal,Tulum in the past, but over the last 5 Years to El Cuyo...you must know El Cuyo is still how Cancun and Akumal looked like many Years ago, but now they became very touristy, expensive and crowded for our taste.
El Cuyo is what WE prefer, authentic, filled with Palmtrees, local cuisine in small rustic Restaurants in casual Atmosphere.
In El Cuyo you will be mixed with Locals and a few Tourists that rent the Holiday Homes on the Beach, and if you know a bir spanish it woul help..the Streets are made out of Sand..and for the fun of it we always rent Golfcarts and go around the Village.
Here some info on our Experience with our rentals in el Cuyo:
Our Vacations in El Cuyo are always great and a lot of fun....its just so nice to get away from Mexico City. To begin the road to get there is in good conditions, easy and safe and the drive thru numerous Mayan Villages with lots of Bumps is 2.5 hours from Cancun. When I arrived at the villa it was clean and the caretakers expected us right there...exactly what we were looking for. The directions to get to the house were easy, and its just on the beach and located in a very peaceful part of town. We always buy some groceries before we get there, but the little shops that are in town are well supplied for basic needs, if you want you can get your big shopping done at Walmart in Cancun or Tizimin. All the days were just great, the ocean and beach is beautiful with a lot of colors because the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico get together in this part of the Yucatan Peninsula. At night I did a fire place on the beach and I've never seen so many stars in the sky. Right after sunset you can spot the Satellites passing over...a great Experience
The Villa we rent ( Villa del Faro ,Villa Hacienda, villa flamingo)) depends on how many of us go... are very well supplied, it has cable TV, the kitchen is fully equipped, the sofas are confortable as so are the beds. The caretakeres are nice and invite us always for fesh Seafood and bring it over to the Villas...and we eat it on the Beachterrace..Lobster season stars july 1st and ends August 31st( our favourite time for us in El Cuyo)..they have also several fishing Tournaments during the year.
We will contunue to go back to El Cuyo every Year..
Owner's Response: Hola Hiram and Family!
Good to hear that you had a wonderful time in my house again.
I am glad that you have been a true "Cuyo Fan" over the last 5 years.
Come back again and recommend us to your friends,..
Saludos from the Yucatan
