The title of the cabin was what caught my eye. Very distinctive.

I wanted to give my three grandsons an adventure they would remember before they moved from my home in NH to their new home in NC. The owners of the cabin are lovely people who did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. My son's family and I stayed at Ben Hame Cabin for five glorious and amazing weeks. The cabin is far bigger than it looks in the pictures. The upstairs consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, family room, dining room and an amazing well stocked kitchen with pantry. The kitchen is quite beautifully decorated, as is the rest of the cabin. The beds were very comfortable as were the amazing pillows we slept on each night. So much so that I had to go out and buy two as soon as I arrived home. There were plenty of linens, blankets, pillows and towels for everyone. There are many personal touches throughout the interior and exterior of the cabin. My son, his wife and three sons, ages 2 - 8 stayed on the first floor. The cabin has a three sided wrap-around porch. The porch in the back of the cabin was the perfect place for my grandsons to play as it is very wide and built next to a hill that goes up instead of down. The porch is built directly up against the hill, so there was no danger of falling. The view from the front porch is spectacular. We spent many days and nights sitting in the comfortable Adirondack chairs while we stared at the glorious view. We also took many of our meals on the porch. The boys loved it. I stayed in the huge great room downstairs. The downstairs has one bedroom with two large closets, a sitting area with couch, chair and flat screen TV, bathroom and laundry room. There are two French doors on each side of the room that led to a private porch. I highly recommend this wonderful cabin in the mountains to anyone wanting to get away from it all. The owners will do everything possible to make your stay as enjoyable and wonderful as they did for me and my family. I cannot begin to thank them enough for what they did for all of us. They helped me to give my grandsons the adventure I wanted them to have before I had to leave them and return to NH. My husband and I intend to visit our son and his family this coming Fall. We hope to stay at the Ben Hame Cabin the week we visit. I envision the two of us in the comfortable Adirondack chairs, drinking hot apple cider as we sit in awe of the colors of the Fall season. I cannot wait. Thank you so much Heidi.

Owner's Response: Catherine, you've just had your second visit as we had hoped! It was great you are able to visit the cabin again.
