Our renters keep saying it, so it must be true. 'Great house and a million dollar view.'
Winter has come to the Poconos and Arrowhead Lake is frozen. A great ski season is in full swing, with lots of good snowfalls and the ski slopes making their own. Jack Frost Mountain and Big Boulder are about 15 minutes away and Camelback only 30 minutes. You can enjoy the outdoors there, or just venture out your own door where you can snowmobile, ice skate cross country ski or ice fish on the lake (assuming the lake cooperates and the community confirms safety). Or just enjoy sitting by a warm, cozy fire, gazing at the view. Come on, you know you want to stay!
This fully renovated 3 bedroom / 2 bath home provides an incredible view of Arrowhead Lake. Create lasting memories as you enjoy the open space, the peaceful beauty, and the inviting, relaxing setting offered by Serendipity Lake House.
Note: By summer, our home will have 5 bedrooms, sleeping 14, three full baths, a mud room and a family room equipped with ping pong table. These changes are reflected in the summer rates.
Until Memorial Day Weekend, the house will be rented as 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom only. Please talk to us.

We have been married 20 years in June of 2014
This house has been a dream of ours realized and it is our pleasure to share it with you
Ever have a moment of true serendipity? When you make a fortunate discovery purely by accident or fate? That's exactly what happened when this house found us. Owning a lake house in the Poconos had been what we always thought was an unattainable dream...until last summer. While staying at a friend's house which was for sale on North Arrowhead Lake, a realtor came by to show the property. Being curious to check out my friend's 'competition' we talked to the realtor about other lakefront properties for sale. Thinking we were interested buyers (which we weren't); she gave us her card, which we quickly tucked away. We went about enjoying our vacation until it began to rain and rain some more. As the boredom set in, we thought it might be fun to just look at some of the listings the realtor had mentioned. So off we took in a torrential downpour to look at houses. We were having fun, just checking out various home styles and furnishing choices, but nothing peaked our interest. When we first pulled in to what was to become Serendipity, we were less than enthusiastic. The front entrance does not do justice to what awaited inside and before us. I can't explain the feeling, but it was mutual and instantaneous. It felt like home, like the “Miracle on 34th street”, just waiting for us to discover it. We spent the next two days talking about it, telling ourselves we were crazy, but feeling as if, for some reason, this house was meant for us. And, as they say, the rest is history. We have spent the last few months giving our moment of serendipity our own personal touch. We hope that you too feel the special spirit that lives within these walls.
The openness of the home, and the amazing view of the lake are what sets Serendipity apart. Over time, we have come to appreciate additional benefits of our location and of the community itself. The house is situated such that it does not get the direct western sun, meaning that it is cooler in the summer. You won't be blinded by the late afternoon sun as you relax or barbeque on the deck. The house sits on a double lot and next to a large wooded property which affords much space and privacy. We are on the quiet side of the big lake where the only cars which pass are those going to the surrounding houses. We are centrally located in the community, close enough to walk across the frozen lake to the lodge in the winter or quickly boat to 2 different beaches in the summer. And need I say more about the view in any season?
