Cozy and Relaxing

This is a great cabin. There was 2 of us and our dog. The surroundings are lush and it's relatively private (there are neighbors on every side, but mostly unoccupied during our stay). The furnishings and decor were the best. Beautiful wood floors, comfortable leather couches, great fireplace, really nice bedding and flat screen televisions with blu-ray players in every room. I loved the layout of the kitchen, and the dining room table, nook, and salmon wall display are all super cool. They have a notebook loaded with area information and hiking trails too. It seems that a lot of money and care were put into updating this cabin, and it shows down to the smallest details.
Why not 5 stars? a couple things. The hot tub was kinda gross. We went in only once because it was cloudy and full of dirt. I ran my hand over the filter and came up with hair and debris. They have shock, but it needs a real cleaning. There was also a minor ant problem in the kitchen, which was documented by other guests, and easily fixable by stuffing plastic wrap in the gap where ants were getting in. 1 can of Raid would remedy this and probably last a few years. Lastly, and this may sound lame, but it would have been nice to be provided with firewood instead of having to go buy it.
Overall, we love the Zig Zag Cabin. It's cozy and relaxing. The pictures are good, but when you arrive you will enter every room repeating, "wow... this is really nice." We would love to come back.
