Beachfront Guest House, Conservatory & Botanical Garden.
Enjoy the expansive view of Puget Sound from the living room and kitchen. Go out on the 300 square foot deck and watch for whales. Or, go up the spiral staircase to the widow's walk atop the roof and have a 360-degree view from the highest point of any waterfront home in Browns Point.
You also have access to the Caledonia Summit Conservatory, the largest private conservatory on the west coast. This retreat includes a great place to sit and read a book in a richly decorated tropical environment. In the Conservatory is an ornate Thai Sala. The Conservatory includes a pond and botanical garden that is often in bloom from March through October. The Conservatory is not open to the general public.
The beach is a typical Puget Sound rocky beach. When the tide is out there is up to 150 feet of beach to walk on, and then the tide is in it vanishes! You can see Vashon Island, Point Defiance, and at night the glow of downtown Seattle lights.
High speed internet is available via WiFi or wired Ethernet.
The guest house has a washer and dryer, dishwasher and fully equipped kitchen.
Security is good as everything is behind a locked and closed driveway gate.
Caledonia Summit is a quiet, remarkably beautiful beachfront property. It is private, quiet, and comfortable. It is located conveniently to Tacoma and is just 15 minutes from I-5 and 45 minutes from Seattle. It is a great place to unwind and relax.
The beach, the Conservatory, and the gardens make this a zenful place to be. Artifacts collected from around the world reflect a multitude of cultures, especially from Asia.
