My husband and I plus another couple on their first trip to any tropical location had the pleasure of staying in this attractive unit located above the pool. The owner answered any and all questions promptly & was extremely pleasant to deal with when we made a slight change to our arrival date. The unit is described accurately, clean & tidy & well cared for. A well-appointed kitchen & plenty of beach accessories such as snorkel gear, umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards & beach towels & games added to our enjoyment with a choice of dining inside or out on the lanai. The lounge chairs are a great place to enjoy Kona coffee & read. The beds are indeed comfy - just like home! The central Kailua location & easy walking distance to the farmer's market are a real plus. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to the walking path at the Old Air & this became a daily routine for the 4 weeks that we were there. Snorkelling was great as ever and lots of good dining mere steps away. Not to be missed is the best little take-out sushi place that you're looking at directly across the alleyway- fresh & very reasonable & always busy! We wish we could have stayed longer & do indeed look forward to visiting again. We would not hesitate to recommend this condo to friends or family and would love to stay in this unit again. Mahalo.

This condo is priced well & is well stocked with everything you might need for your vacation. Debbie is a pleasure to work with in your planning stage and upon your return home. Not a hitch.... We loved relaxing in the pool area and walking on the strip that is right between you and the Pacific Ocean.... Great restaurants and shops to satisfy all your wants & needs.

This is a beautiful condo that is in a great location. The condo is walking distance to restraunts, luau's, shopping, snorkeling & dive tours, coffee shops, and too many other things to list. We rented a car but really only used it to explore the other side of the island and some beaches. We even had under ground parking which kept the car cool for us. The lanai is spacious and over looks the pool. The fully furnished kitchen saved us a lot of cash as we bought groceries and were able to eat some meals & snacks in.

I could go on and on!!! Thanks for providing us a beautiful place for my family to stay at during our trip to the big island Debbie. When we return to the big island, we hope to stay here again!!!

Aloha and mahalo......Debbie, we had an excellent stay at your condo. I have stayed at Kona Plaza before and I was a little worried about not having a full view of the ocean. After arriving I quickly changed my mind. The lani has great views of the sunrise. The peace and quite were very nice. My family and I played cards on the lani every night. We loved the extra square footage of the condo. The four of us never felt crowded. We are in the process of picking our dates for next year and are very hopeful that the condo will be available.

We are new at being Snow Birds from Canada. We visited Kona last year for a week and decided then we would return in 2012. We reviewed this Condo's ad and the description and photos were very much as it was described. The Condo was very spacious, clean and comfortable and in a perfect location being close to Markets, Restaurants and Grocery Stores. We were introduced to the Old Airport walking path which was immediately a daily favourite and snorkeling, our 2nd activity, was accessible.
The owner was very cooperative with our requests and quick to reply any answers.
I would recommend this property to my family and friends. We are returning in 2013.

We feel so lucky that we found this condo and it was available. The price is very reasonable for all the amenities. The location was ideal for us (right in the heart of Kona, steps away from the coastline, restaurants, and shops), the unit and private lanai was very spacious for 4 adults, and it was clean and well stocked with kitchenware. The transaction went very smoothly and we received our entire deposit back in a timely manner.

Despite a few minor problems, which were dealt with promptly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit of the Kona Plaza. Private quiet time was spent on the lanai overlooking beautiful palms to the ocean beyond. Although near the heart of Kailua, there was no noise on this third floor unit.

We appreciated the secure parking in the basement of the building.

Whenever we were not at a snorkeling beach, we walked about town, enjoying the people and the local flavors. We were there for the annual Christmas parade, along the main street of town, which was a short minute or two walk from the building. We were also there over a weekend and really loved the contemporary Church service next door to the building. They also held a traditional service later in the morning, but we were off to the beach instead!

In addition to the local eating establishments, a McD was a short walk away (to the 3 grandkids enjoyment), but we especially liked the Big Island Grill, located an even shorter walk away from the ocean.

WalMart, Safeway, and a few other eating establishments were located at the intersection of Henry Street and the Queens Highway (route 19). Halfway between there and the airport was a Costco, which had the cheapest gas on the island that we saw.

In general, there was NOTHING that we were disappointed with in our stay. See you, hopefully, next year, Debbie!
