Built in 1948 by Paul Trousdale, we spent $140,000 on a complete renovation in late 2012 and early 2013 and the house is truly stunning. The house is located in the highly desirable wind-free South End of Palm Springs, on a street that is consistently rated as one of the town’s best. The house is spacious (every room and bedroom is large) and has 19 impressive palm trees surrounding the property. The location is perfect for a vacation: close enough to walk to the downtown strip only 1 mile away (you can be there in less than 15 minutes, or drive in 4), and situated right next to Mesquite golf course. You are within easy driving distance to some of the best golf courses in the world (including PGA West, La Quinta Resort and the TPC Stadium Course), and minutes from amazing hiking trails. We tried to think of everything we would want from a Palm Springs experience (important, because our primary goal is to enjoy it ourselves!) and spared no expense on the renovation and furnishings. A brand new kitchen, stunning bathrooms, a Great Room that has the "Wow Factor", giant wireless-enabled Samsung Smart TV's throughout, huge comfy beds, and an oversized 12-person table to entertain. We have meticulously landscaped to ensure maximum privacy when you are out in the large, deep salt water pool and fabulous hot tub. We also tried to think of the little things that make a person’s stay so much more enjoyable: a great gas BBQ, a quality coffee maker, strong wireless internet throughout, a home phone that allows you to call anywhere in North America for free (great for those business travelers, key-pad entry so you don’t have to fuss with keys, luxurious bedding, lots of outdoor seating and loungers, and all the plush towels you could possibly need. We purchased quality cutlery, plates, cookware and appliances (state of the art dishwasher, washing machine and dryer). We even installed a large electric retractable awning that can cover much of the outdoor sitting area so that you can still enjoy that amazing Palm Springs weather if you do not want the direct sun (We use this ourselves a lot when we have to work: just open up the awning, set up your computer at the table, and you will have the best office in the world.
