The Frederick William House of Falmouth is the main house on the estate. A small guest cottage also sits on property but is not featured in this listing. It sleeps 6, if your party size is over 10, you may also rent the cottage. Call to check availability. The estate is located directly on the Shining Sea Bike Path between Sippewissett and Falmouth Village, truly a bicyclists paradise and a stones throw away from the Steamship Authority. Bikes are available for your convenience. Stay in this beautifully decorated home and enjoy your time away in luxury. Each fabulously furnished bedroom has it's own private bath. A large gas fireplace heats the master bedroom on cold winter nights, and a wood burning fireplace adorns the common area. The cozy living room is close to a full modern kitchen with a joining dinning room. Barbeque on the slate patio off the kitchen with a gas grill for all your summer cookouts after a great day at the beach. Walk to the fresh water Pond, Grews Pond, across the street with a lovely beach and playground. The property is close to Spohr Gardens famous for their breathtaking Daffodil Days. About Jeanette Robinson /Proprietor

I grew up in Menlo Park California, my Father was a native Cape Codder and my mother was a native Californian. I suppose my mother's influence kept my Father in California, but he always entertained the notion of moving back to Falmouth. The stretch of land Frederick William House sits on has been in my family for nearly a century, strawberry fields encompassed the stretch, and the 4 houses to the left and the right all belonged to long gone relatives. One by one the cousins, aunts and uncles sold, but when I discovered that 594 Palmer belonged to me after my last living relative on Cape Cod passed away, I felt impelled to keep the last of the homes and share this magical place with you.

Awesome stay!

We stayed at the Frederick William House for Memorial Day weekend and we couldn't have asked for more. The only negative we had over the entire weekend was the weather, but in spite of that, we had such a great time staying here. The home is stunning, inside and out. It is carefully decorated inside and just makes you feel so comfortable. As soon as you arrive you feel like you're in your own home. It just has this cozy feeling to it that I can't describe. Additionally, the owner is so welcoming and considerate. Jeanette met us at the house when we arrived and gave us a grand tour and went over every detail possible. The biggest surprise was the "bike room" which is located outside in the backyard. It had 6 or 7 brand new bikes waiting to be used on the bike path that is accessible through the backyard. There were also surf boards and other things that were available to us. As I originally stated, we couldn't ask for more. The main street is a short walk (15 min) and the ferry to Martha's vineyard is in the next town over. We are definitely coming back to this home. We absolutely loved it! This was by far one of the nicest vacation homes we've stayed in...period. I hope Jeanette keeps it on the rental market for years to come because we will definitely be coming back!

The listing was very accurate, great service, friendly and curtious. The property was very clean, the location was just what we were hoping for.

What I enjoyed...watching the sunset through the bare winter trees in the kitchen, browsing through the specialty shops in the village...reminds me of shopping in Carmel by the Sea California, but Falmouth is better, especially in the off season because it was not so crowded. I enjoyed the upscale salon and spa in town. They were nice places to pamper myself.

I enjoyed sitting by the fire while it gently snowed outside. The snow was beautiful while I was here.

I stayed in the downstairs bedroom, it was very warm and the bed was comfortable. My bathroom was pristine!

Great stay.

Location is what we were looking for and what we got with this reservation. Everything is less than a mile away...shops, food, boats, tours, museums, woods and water. Beds were BIG and extremely comfortable, linens top notch, clean white crispy towels, all the things you usually forget to bring were already here...from soap to salt and pepper.The Firework display the town puts on out on the waterfrount is definately a must see if you come during the 4th of July festivities. Awesome time!

Wonderful Vacation Home

We are very happy Jeannette rented her home to us. She was very considerate and responsive to our needs. It is a lovely old, but completely renovated home. With 5 bedrooms we had plenty of space for our group of 9 adults. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. We were happy to find there was no shortage of hot water, even when we were all getting ready at the same time.
This is a great location if you like to bike, run, or roller blade as you can walk out the back door and be right on the path. Beaches are a short drive away. It is also possible to bike to the beach.
We definitely recommend this home.

Springtime Perfection

This house was springtime perfect with all the yellow bulbs bursting our of every corner, even the Spanish Broom was color coordinated with the daffodils. You suggestions of places and garden to visit during the spring really made our vacation. Spohr Gardens was even more breath taking than you had described.

The house was immaculate. I cannot describe it any other way. The weather at this time of year really was not a time to barbeque, so we did not use the grills you had, but we were so excited that the bike path was in our backyard. This is the perfect spot for any avid cyclists. And for the garden goers, springtime really is spectacular.

We cannot say enough about the beauty and charm of this house! We have had a wonderful experience here and have stayed at many different rentals throughout the area for years! It is clean, well maintained, and offers the charm of Cape Cod with the updated amenities of home. The owner, Jeannette, was so hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable with everything here, as well as giving us information regarding beaches, bike paths, eating spots,etc.
There were 8-9 of us at any given time and we never felt overcrowded. The bedrooms are large. Each one having a private bath and AC temperature zone. And I cant even believe the softness and comfort of the beds and bedding!
We are planning to come back to Jeanette's next year and would recommend everyone to do the same. Thank you for sharing your "home" with us!

A wonderful stay in a new place

My wife and I stayed at this charming home for a few days in June, in which Mlle Jeanette was our equally charming hostess. The house was beautiful, very clean and appointed like a country home in southern France. We think so highly of Mlle Jeanette and the house that we are trying to arrange a week in September to visit with our children and their families. We cannot recommend this more highly to anyone.

An extraordinary stay...

The most memorable stay I have had in years! This IS the most beautiful home and the most gracious service my family and I have encountered yet to date! CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!

This house is very spacious, each room was equipped with a private bathroom which made our stay extremely comfortable. Little soaps were presented in each bath with fresh, pressed white towels. We did not have to bring a thing to make this vacation comfortable.

Two grills were ready for our grilling pleasure, and we had a choice of gas or charcoal! The bike path runs directly through the property, and a little concession made it fun for our kids to run and get an ice cream literally in the back yard. If location is what you want this is the house. Palmer Avenue begins at the end of 28, and goes into the center of town. This house is not a hideaway, so if you are looking for seclusion, this might not be your spot. But if you want to get to the ferry easily or walk to breakfast, or the pond in the park, or even down town, this is it. We found that going to the Vinyard was hassle free not having to worry about our cars in a strange parking lot!
