Private home on beautiful Ess lake. This lakefront three-bedroom, three-bath home in Northern Michigan, is a great all-season get-away for families and groups up to twelve people.
Note: We did decide to close the house for the winter '13 / '14 and will be open again early Spring '14
Summer time activities include swimming, boating, kayaking and canoeing, fishing, biking, hiking, golfing, bird watching and everything else you like to do outside. Fall offers awesome color and is a variety of hunting and outdoor activities. Winter provides a quiet setting for skating, skiing, ice fishing and hundreds of miles of snowmobiling. Spring is filled with a burst in foliage and the return of migrating birds.
Year round, the house features an open format with plenty of windows to view to the lake and surrounding outdoors. The property is situated on the western shore of this special all-sports lake in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to state forest. Spacious decks on both sides of the home, with plenty of outdoor seating, make it easy for summer guests to spend most of the day outdoors.
Home to Southeast Michigan, we, like so many others in Metro Detroit, love an 'up North' get-away. We were fortunate to find this great home a few years ago and are excited to share it with others who appreciate the same special vacation experience.
It's just a few hours from our primary home, so weekend trips are pretty easy. In addition to the obvious appeal of owning a home on such a pretty lake, we were also able to be close to family who also have a place on the lake, just down the street - we can walk there or just paddle over in a kayak. Our neighbors are super nice as well!
