I came out to Palm Springs at the start of Modernism Week and this was the only place left online that looked like Palm Springs. Because the price was reasonable, I was certain I was settling for something just so-so. Driving past a long row of carports to get to the unit did not lift my spirits. Everything after that was wonderful.
I believe I was the first to stay in this just-refurbished 2-BR condo, which is in a small complex at the south end of town. For starters, the place is HUGE (I'd guess 2000 sq ft), nicely remodeled (new tile floor, baths, kitchen, double-paned sliders, washer/dryer), and nicely equipped. The new furniture was an easy mix of contemporary and mid-century. The rooms all have a clear view of the mountains and face a private patio with a big barbecue which I did not test drive. The complex surrounds well-tended grounds and a pool/spa, but this is a corner unit which gives it extra privacy.
The one problem I had was when the microwave conked out. Kent, the property manager who met me at the unit and waved good-bye when I left, brought in a new unit the next day.
This is an easy place to highly recommend if you want a modern vibe (which I feel is part of the point of Palm Springs), like the location, and don't need resort-like facilities. I had a great stay there. Thanks, Kent and owners.
