Perfect Trip

My husband and I visited Charleston for a special Birthday. The Guest House was the perfect place for our trip. The home was clean and beautifully furnished, yet so comfortable for the 2 of us. We loved the tile bathroom with the large walk-in shower.
The bedroom was spacious and decorated with beautiful Charleston artwork. We also enjoyed the private pool and lanai and having our coffee poolside in the AM.
We were a short 15 minute drive to downtown where we spent the better part of each day. We enjoyed the Harbor Cruise to Fort Sumter, the walking tour of historic Charleston and shopping downtown. Our most favorite part though was trying the local food at the the great restaurants, including Fleet Landing and Pearlz downtown and the Early Bird Diner close to the Guest House on Rt 17.
The friendly, gracious people we met made the trip even better.
Martha and Peyton were wonderful and so very easy to work with. They were always a phone call away. The reservation process went so smoothly.
We would definately recommend this Guest House to friends and family; as a matter of fact, I already have!!

Wonderful!

The guest house was exactly as it appeared in the pictures. It was very clean, well maintained and tastefully decorated. The bed was super comfortable. The lanai was fabulous--we sat by the fire a few nights and it was beautiful. We like to cook our own meals and the kitchens (indoor and out) had everything we could have hoped for--from spices to utensils. Martha and Peyton are gracious hosts with lots of knowledge of the area. The property is about a 10 minute drive from downtown-- historic homes, graveyards, aquarium, etc.. We used the maps from the rental and found our way around easily. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Charleston area.

Great Private Little Bungalow

Martha and Peyton's guest house was way more than we could have asked for on our honeymoon week. The place was the perfect getaway we were looking for and still be in close proximity to Charleston. The accommodations were clean and cozy. The bed was super comfy and we loved hanging out in the lanai when it was warm enough. We even cooked dinner one night on the outdoor kitchen. Martha and Peyton's southern hospitality made our trip even better. They sent maps, local deals and other dining tips ahead of time to help us plan ahead. Great little house just far enough from the congestion to really unwind and relax. If we ever head back to Charleston we will be staying here again.

Hidden Gem !!

A comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated place to get-away. Set away from the city, yet only 20 minutes to downtown Charleston and convenient to restaurants, shopping and museums. Enjoyed the amenities of the lanai which included the grill and the wood-burning fireplace. Breakfast in the morning, overlooking the pool and landscaped yard was very relaxing. The guest house is competitively priced, and had everything we needed and wanted to enjoy our first stay in the Charleston area. The neighborhood is ideal for an early morning walk, and although it was too cool for a swim, the pool looked very inviting. Martha and Peyton are experienced with rentals, and are wonderful hosts who were very welcoming. Everything was clean and in working order. The pictures are what you get if you choose to become a guest. We highly recommend this property for the perfect Southern vacation.

Home away from home!

I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 months while completing a medical rotation for school! The description and pictures of the place dont even do it justice! Such a beautiful place to stay..well furnished with everything you will ever need! The owners are more than accommodating and are great to work with! Just bring you clothes and dont forget your bathing suit if its warm! Just a quick drive to historic downtown but also in a great location with many places to eat and things to see in the area. I would highly recommend this place! I will be back for a stay the next time I venture to Charleston!

Great Place to Stay in Charleston

My wife and I enjoy coming to Charleston to sightsee and shop and have found this is a great place to stay. It's easy to get to downtown Charleston and the beaches. The accommodations are wonderful. The bed is very comfortable and we love the roomy bathroom and having a separate living room area. The lanai is a great place to sit and have morning coffee or unwind in the evening and having access to a private pool is a real treat! We find the atmosphere very relaxing and definitely would recommend this anyone visiting Charleston.

I have stayed in this guest house several times while in Charleston. It's very nicely decorated, well-maintained, and spotless, and the bed and sofa are super comfortable. I found it very helpful to have a full-size kitchen and washer and dryer. Having the lanai and pool right outside your door is an incredible bonus - it's so relaxing to sit out there, especially in the evening!

Secret oasis

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful guest house on our first visit to Charleston. It was all that you could ask for and more. Bed was great, kitchen well stocked and plenty of room. Easy access to all that Charleston and neighboring areas have to offer, and a great oasis to return to at the end of the day. Peyton and Martha were very gracious hosts.
