The apartment has a large kitchen with granite counters and bar with new appliances including built-in microwave, ice maker and washer/dryer. The bath features a tiled over-sized shower, granite vanity and vessel sink. Bedrooms and Living Area have solid, comfortable furnishings, quality linens with ceiling fans in each room. All utilities included.
There is construction on the street this building faces and vicinity making vehicular access more difficult. However, the downtown area is generally safe.

I am the owner and property manager. I am a central Texas native. I have been in property management for over 20 years developing and managing various types of rental property. I attended Texas State University earning a BAAS with emphasis in Real Estate and a MAG in Land Management.
San Marcos is a wonderful place to live and visit. Whether you are coming for a extended business travel, a visiting professor, a special event, tubing the rivers, shopping at the outlet mall or pilot training at Redbird Skyport, this is a perfect choice for extended stay.
This is a 5000 sf building constructed in 1967 and historically occupied with 3 two bedroom apartments upstairs and commercial space downstairs. I purchased the property in 2012, remodeling the upstairs and dividing the downstairs into three units, one of which is my office, as part of a complete renovation. It is less than a city block to the river and the outdoor stage where Sights and Sounds is held each year. There is only one block between the apartment and the university campus. It is an easy stroll to Strahan Coliseum, the Performing Arts Theater, downtown square, grocery, and some of the best restaurants San Marcos has to offer.
This apartment is tastefully furnished with a German Castle motif. It is an elegant alternative for a professional visiting the area on an extended stay.

Very beautiful the moment the door opened.
The place is beautiful inside, totally breathe taken when I first walked in. The location is great, walking distance from the river, parks, restaurants and shops. The 2 bedrooms are clean and private. The kitchen and dining area has room for all of us to hang out without having to climb around each other; space is not an issue. I will refer my family, friend and clients to check it out.
Perfect Stay in San Marcos
Thank you for sharing your apartment with us for our visit to San Marcos. We LOVED the apartment. The location was perfect as we were visiting someone at the university. We were able to get around quickly to do the things we neded to do. We loved the apartment. It was very clean, spacious and very modern. The kitchen was great...we loved the kuerig and dishwasher as we cooked in a few times. The bedrooms were very nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. I loved having a washer and dryer as well and I did use it often. My daughter loved the sink in the bathroom and the shower.
I will definitely stay here again on our next trip to San Marcos. It was110% times better than staying at a hotel. Clean, convenient and all the comforts of home.
Also, thanks for the restaurant tips. We had a very nice dinner at Palmers. We truly had a great stay and were sad to leave. We will back to stay again.

Arrival; Smooth and painless. The property was easy to find and easy to access (even at 1 a.m.).
The property; This is a really fantastic apartment. Very spacious, modern, clean, and finished to a high standard. All of my guests were very impressed and very surprised that such a standard of accommodation was available so close to downtown. Everything I required was provided.
The location; I was familiar with San Marcos prior to arrival so I knew the location. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the main 'downtown' area. So cafes, restaurants, bars, shops and stores, are all within easy walking distance. The University is also just a few minutes away. While the proximity is fantastic there is no noise or disturbance from the 'square' which gets very lively at the weekends. It is a very safe place.
The landlady; I was very welcome and received the typical Texas hospitality and then some. I am very grateful.
This was an ideal corporate let. It is unique in San Marcos (and most of Central Texas), great value, and provides exactly what a medium term traveler requires. I fully intend on renting this property again.
