About Sandeep Nanda

I grew up in Dallas and currently live in Las Vegas. I went to Yale University and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

I have been married since December 2003 and I have a 7 year old son.

I lived in this condo from June of 2000 until June of 2002 and I loved living there.

Why Sandeep Nanda chose Austin

Me and four friends were sharing a house when we learned about the Rail-yards Condo complex.

We could not believe the location and price so three of us bought places and all five of us moved there.

We all split up and moved away a couple of years later and I told my friends not to sell their places because they would be worth a lot someday. But they did.

I held onto mine and since I left, they built the Austin Convention Center next door, a Marriott across the street and a bunch of cool restaurants and bars.

It really is an amazing location and I wish that I could still live there.

The owner is really nice

I actually can't speak to the condo because we ended up needing a bigger place for my family. But the owner was very helpful & prompt with his responses. I talked to him on the phone & he ws very nice.The place looks ideal & I plan on trying it another time.

Cozy, clean, and convenient!

This place was cozy, clean, and convenient. Right in the heart of the 6th street area. One thing I wouldn't count on, is the sofa bed - it's very uncomfortable, with hard knots that dig into your back.. So as long as you don't need the extra sleeping space, it's great and I would recommend it!

Pleasant stay - the beds were comfortable, and the place was nicely kept. The one negative was that the dishwasher didn't work.

The dishwasher has been fixed, my apologies that it wasn't working when you were there, the previous guests did not mention anything nor did the cleaners.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great time here -- it was close to everything in downtown Austin, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. I stayed here with some friends for a weekend and the place was in great condition and it was the perfect place for us. Each room had a large bed and the couch was a pull out bed that worked for us. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in visiting Austin.

The condo was great -- conveniently located, clean, spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. (The only thing I needed that I couldn't find was an iron.). The unit's posting as well as the owner's instructions were all accurate. I'd recommend this condo to others, as it would be great for a group of friends (as I had) or a family.

We came here for a girls weekend (6 girls, late 20's/early 30's) and this condo was perfect. It slept 6 girls comfortably. It's location is perfect for walking down to 6th street and warehouse district. We took short cabs to both Barton Springs and South Congress ( although I think you could walk to either). The condo was clean and well-equipped. It was a great alternative to either 2 hotel rooms or a hotel suite for 6 girls because we could all comfortably stay together and had enough space and bathrooms to get ready.

My friends and I were very happy with this condo. It was clean, well stocked, secure, and the location is amazing! We were able to walk to just about everything -- restaurants, bars, shopping, the capitol building. The rental process was really easy and the owner promptly answered all of our questions. It did get a little noisy at night but I suspect that's the case for just about anywhere dowtown. I would definitely recommend this place if you are headed to Austin!

Great location walking distance to great restaurants and Rainey Street. It was clean when we arrived and has a nice open kitchen and living room area.

Comfortable, clean, great location

My family and I rented this condo for 1 week during our trip to Austin. We received the necessary information well in advance or our arrival, including near-by attractions, grocers, and other amenities. The condo provides a dishwasher and washer and dryer, which is wonderful for longer stays, and a lovely sitting area outside perfect for sun soaked morning coffee. It is in a prime location, within walking distance of 6th st, congress, the capitol, and a short drive to Barton Springs. The condo sleeps 4 comfortably, 6 with the pull-out couch. I would recommend investing in extra padding for the pull-out, as I found it only mildly uncomfortable (I did sleep on it for an entire week!). Please confirm check-in and check-out times with management. Overall it was a perfect match for my family, and I would recommend this condo for large families and long stays.
