This is a spacious flat on the ground floor in the beautiful Jordaan neighborhood. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen of any flat we've rented anywhere. The coffee, tea, crackers, cookies, and milk were a welcome treat. The king size bed was very comfortable. Monica, as all the reviewers have already confirmed, is the most giving hostess of all. She welcomes you with open arms and an unhurried explanation of tourist sites, directions, and her recommendations.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It is a rare find to have an apartment that is on street level. It is on a fairly quiet street although you do hear some people talking loudly as the pass by at night but mostly on weekend nights. It is very spacious and Monica (who is a wonderful host-very friendly and helpful-she met us at the tram station and walked us to the apt and offered to carry bags and then checked on us after 2 days) stocked the apt with all sorts of food. There is a wonderful market within a 10 min walk (near Westmarkt) also. The tram station is close by (only a few stops from central station) and Anne Frank museum is only 10 min away. All other sites are easy to get to by tram. We have no complaints about the apartment itself-everthing you need is there. Even the weather cooperated and it was mostly sunny during our stay! If we ever have the chance to return we will book this apt again.( If you drive to the city it is best to park at a park and ride outside the city then take a tram in).

We were three adults and thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay! Even though we were late arriving, Monica met us at the apartment and gave us a complete tour. The kitchen - living room area was very roomy and worked very well for us as did the layout of the entire apartment. The in-floor head was very welcome as it was pretty cool outside. Great location for exploring Amsterdam and very quiet for sleeping. We would certainly choose to stay again.

We've rented apartments in several major world cities, and sorry to the rest, but we've never had such a great hostess as Monica. Our trip was an unqualified success and we owe a lot of the thanks to her and her lovely apartment. Prior to our stay she was a pleasure to deal with; timely communication and accommodating of the particular needs of our travel group. Upon arrival she was even better, if possible. Never had a landlord so pleasant and helpful in my life, and most of the people I've rented from in the past have been just lovely. Her restaurant recommendations and transit explanations were most helpful.

Modern and cozy, the place provides all you need for a great stay, and unlike many a European apartment it never feels cramped. Fixtures and supplies were all top-notch, and Monica adds great little touches that really make you feel welcome. We had all we needed to get our first day started right without having to worry about making a run to the supermarkt right out of the gate. And after a day's sightseeing and many, many miles walked, I have to admit a ground-floor apartment is a real treat, having suffered many a fourth-to-sixth floor walkup after 16 hours of the museum shuffle.

Given how centrally located the apartment is, the thing that surprised me the most was how quiet the street was. With a major thoroughfare just a block away and the Jordaan at your doorstep I figured it'd be loud, but we were never once awakened by street noise. In fact, the street is quite tranquil. So, a wonderful hostess, a peaceful night's sleep, Amsterdam's best neighborhood right outside your door, and all your transportation needs just a block away. Just about perfect.

I really enjoyed my week here during a recent business trip. Plenty of room for a couple or small family. Clean and well appointed, very comfortable. Relaxing and quiet, though in a vibrant area so there is some foot traffic on weekends especially in late evening. This is Amsterdam after all, so be ready for meeting interesting people in the neighborhood.

I felt right at home from the first hour! Monica the owner greeted me and is very gracious host. The flat is located in the very center of desirable neighborhood, with easy access to central city sites, transport, and amenities. Easy in and out... Can grab bus 197 to/from Schiphol to/from terminus at Marnixstraat bus station, which is five minute walk from flat. Great nighborhood. Lots of good cafes and restaurants within 10 mins walk. Interesting shops too. Will definitely recommend to friends and hope to return soon to this wonderful neighborhod in the great city of Amsterdam.

We stayed here Sept 29th - Oct 4th 2012. Absolutely loved it. The location was fantastic, 5 minute walk to Anne Frank House. 2 minutes to the tram line with connections to anywhere in the city. Beautiful ground floor apartment on a quiet street in the best neighbourhood of Amsterdam. The apartment was very clean and exactly as shown in the pictures.
The best part was meeting Monica, she gave very good public transportaion instructions to arrive at the apartment and she was there waiting for us with a supply of groceries. Thanks for the Stroopwafels, we are now addicted to them!
Monica spent at least two hours with us explaining the best places to visit, the best restaurants and she even walked us around the area to get familiar. As Monica only lived a few blocks away, she was available for any help with train schedules etc.
We would highly recommend this apartment and especially the lovely hostess.
Do not hesitate to rent this apartment, you won't be disappointed.

We began our trip with a wonderful 3-night stay at Monica's apartment in Amsterdam. The apartment is exactly as advertised and its amenities added to our very enjoyable stay. It is located close to the Anne Frank house and a short walk to many restaurants, pubs and all forms of public transportation. We would definitely stay again if visiting Amsterdam and will highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.
