This apartment is a 30 days rental minimum stay.

This comfortable and cozy 2 bedroom (sleeps 4 people), 1 bathroom apartment is a true New York tenement experience. The building is on Eldridge St between Broome St and Grand St. The building is a little old and worn, however, the apartment is a pleasant surprise once you arrive! The apartment is on the sixth floor of a walk up so be prepared to walk up five flights of stairs. There is NO elevator.

I don't have a TV which may force you to head out and socialize. There is wifi internet in the apartment and the fully equipped kitchen is available for you to use. There is also a small living space to relax your feet after a long day of walking around New York. Please also check with me the check in and check out times. I'm quite flexible so as long as we communicate it should be perfectly awesome.

You'll be only a short walk away to the 200+ bars and restaurants the Lower East Side has to offer. Don't be disheartened when you show up though, it does look like you're in Chinatown but rest assure, this location is fantastic!

Public transport is very close and will connect you to the rest of the city. The trains and stations are the B/D at Grand St, J/Z at Bowery, and J/Z/M/F at Essex and Delancy.

We loved our stay in this flat: the appartment is clean, cozy and always smells lovely, Jonathan is very nice, polite and discrete, the bed is very comfortable and the light in the morning just wonderful. Beside that is's very well located: many places reachable on foot and very close there are several tube stations with different lines. The neighborhood is lovely (Rivington St. , Ludlow St.,...) and in 5 minutes you're in the East Village or in Nolita. Now, if you plan to spend time in the flat it can be a bit small, but you're in New York so, as we did, you're always out and what you need is a clean, comfortable, practical place where to rest. Nothing more. Little remarks: the 5 floors stairs are indeed quite steep, the hot water takes some minutes to arrive (but then it's hot and never ends), we would suggest Jonathan to put a bed lamp in the room. Quiet, charming and cosy small appartment. Maybe not the best area in Manhattan but very well situated with 2 minutes walking to the closest subway station (B line). WIFI access. Kitchen OK if you want to cook. No TV (surprising for USA!!) but who cares? We didn't spend much time with Jonathan, but at the same time we felt like at home,like real Newyorkers. We enjoyed a lot. Very good souvenirs. I really recommand.

Although the apartment is on the corner to Cinatown but Tortzdem is very centrally located and has several subway stations around the corner and very cheap shopping in the Chinese shops. The apartment itself is very nicely decorated and clean. You barely hear anything from the street noise and has air conditioning bleibts quite cool even in hot weather.

The actual apartment is great and Jonathan was a superb host!!! I'll be honest, it's on the 6th floor and the stairs do get tiring, not to mention it being a nightmare with luggage. Did miss having a TV to watch after a busy day, just to chill out. Also, the apartment is more Chinatown than the Lower East Side, actually it's smack bang in the middle of Chinatown and a lot of the cab drivers don't even know how to get there.
