No water? No heat? No refund!
We just returned from a week at Eagle's Landing. The house is in a lovely location- right on the Gulf and we had planned for a fun family week. Within a few hours of arriving, the outdoor faucet fell off in my son's hand as he was washing his feet. We had to turn off the water in the entire house while waiting for it to be fixed and then for the glue to dry- so no water the first day. Two days later, we came home from dinner to find water pouring through the floor into the carport (the house is on stilts). Even though it was 9:30pm, we immediately called the agent and turned off the hot water. Turns out the hot water heater had broken- Day 2 of no water. At this same time, we tried to turn on the heat (it was cold!!!) and it didn't work either- so it was 39 outside and 54 inside. We asked both the owner and the rental agent for some money back-- not all, just a third as that was the amount of days we were inconvenienced taking care of their house- and both denied our request. I would never rent through this company again and would not recommend this rental at all. Not only did we have these problems, it was dated and run down. Eagle's Landing is not the lovely space that is advertised on this website or on the Michael Saunders website.

We’d like to start with an apology for your experience. While we strive for the VERY best in in vacation experiences, regrettably we are never 100% perfect. This was surely a case of everything that could go wrong, did - all at the same time – and we feel your frustration. I know you’ve been in touch with our team to discuss compensation. In the meantime we have also worked with the owner and property manager to ensure all of the fixes made during the stay are completed and working properly for the next tenant. Our property owners are always interested to hear feedback as well so we will certainly address your opinion of it being “dated and run down”. This unique Island community is certainly more relaxed than some – but keeping it current and clean is of highest priority.
