Why Devin & Robin Millett chose Bermuda

We loved the Parish of Smith's for its central and convenient location.

What makes this cottage unique

The open ceiling concept of this studio cottage gives visitors an opportunity to see Bermuda's unique way of building our signature white roof.

Great Little Cottage

My wife and I spent four nights here during our first visit to Bermuda, and we were very pleased with the accommodations and the Milletts' hospitality. The cottage is very clean and has all of the amenities we needed for our stay (plus some). We cooked every meal at the cottage, and found the small kitchen to well-equipped. The nearest grocery store is a 7-minute walk at the corner of South Road and Harrington Hundreds Rd. Across the road from that grocery store is Spittal Pond nature reserve, which is a really great place to explore.

From the cottage, we were able to make all of our excursions by foot and by bus, only using a taxi to get to and from the airport. Right at the end of cottage's driveway is a stop for the #3 bus, which will take you to Hamilton in one direction, and to Grotto Bay and St. George's in the other direction. A 4-minute walk from the cottage takes you to a stop for the #1 bus, which begins and ends with the #3, but follows a different route. (Keep in mind that the buses stop running around 6pm, so this can limit evening excursions by bus.)

We were very pleased with our experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to send friends here.

cozy and romantic for couple

If you see the first review, he/she did a great job sharing the experience! cause i agree 100%.

Robin reply my email right away and she gave us a lot of useful information before we came. We got the bus pass on the way to her property and there is no problem at all with taxi driver.

We got there and Robin was at the door to greet us and gave us a nice tour in her car around the neighbourhood and even drop us off at the grocery store to stock up our fridge. We cook 4 nights dinner at the cottage and it was great as restaurant is expensive.

Robin even gave us free mineral water and since we are there for christmas she even put a small christmas tree on the table for the great atmosphere (and on TV there is logfire with christmas music! ) Even though the kitchen is small but there are enough pots and pans and all the useful things stock at the cabinet, so no problem at all making some nice dinner for two, there is even free instant coffee/tea and creamer and salt and pepper!

The cottage is exactly the same as show in the pictures! and bed is nice kingsize bed with plenty of pillows. you almost no need to bring anything with you but toiletry and bathing suits! cause there are plenty of towels, torch, cooler bags, even beach umbrealla! we even use BBQ one night.

You cannot beat the good price they offer! and we rent moped one and half days with EVE's cycle and one day bike and one day bus ( bus 3 is right outside the house, bus 1 is around 1 min.. walk. but those 2 buses run till 6pm latest so if you want a late night you might need to take taxi from Flatt's village or wherever you are)

We for sure will recommand our friends to Robin and Devin's cottage if they want to come to Bermuda.

Gem of a cottage in beautiful Bermuda

Devin and Robin are great hosts who have created a home away from home. From their detailed directions on how to fill out customs forms, taxi directions to the cottage and quick replies to all my emails, they leave no stone unturned. All the amenities listed were provided and more. Q-tips in the medicine cabinet, an umbrella for rainy days, a flashlight for evening walks, bus schedules, beach blankets and so much more.

The location is in a quaint residential area with beautiful sea views. The peace and quiet of the area will promise you the much needed rest that the noisy city of Hamilton can not provide. With beautiful starry skies at night, the crickets chirping and the most comfortable king sized bed with plenty of pillows will allow you to unplug from the hustle and bustle of life. I highly recommend the cottage for its proximity to the stunning Spittal Pond Nature Reserve with rocky sea views and meandering trails and John Smith's Bay, a quiet non-touristy beach, all within walking distance. The cottage is also a quick ride to the airport, close to St. George's and the city of Hamilton by bus and walking distance to the Flatts Village.

The cottage is as pictured and is extremely clean and you can tell that Devin and Robin take pride in creating a comfortable cottage for your stay. Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted and provided with a quick tour. Water, candy and a special treat in the fridge were provided. Best of all was Robin invited me along to Hamilton to pickup my bus pass and she even gave me a quick tour of the neighborhood and all of its activities. This tour was extremely valuable and helpful as a first time traveler to Bermuda.

I would highly recommend the cottage not only for its location, but for the price, it is an extreme value. Why stay in a hotel when you can have the flexibility to cook your own meals, stay in a free standing unit that feels like your own private little house and both Robin and Devin even provide a cell phone for you to make local calls or if you need to contact them for any reason. Plentiful parking and public transportation right across the street also make this cottage a convenient choice.

After doing much research on hotels and other guest accommodations I am so glad I decided to stay at the "Edge" at Nethercliff. This cottage is really a gem compared to all the rest that Bermuda has to offer. I have stayed at many self-catering accommodations and by far this cottage is my favorite.
