Even more exquisite than the photos! The house and grounds were immaculately clean and well-maintained. Each living area was designed and decorated to soothe the senses, furnished with state-of-the-art, comforting amenities, leaving ample open spaces and airy quality. Breathtaking vistas from the many verandas invite one to explore this heavenly island. The owner made every effort to ensure that we knew what to see, where to dine and shop. We hope to return again and again!

This was a return trip to St. Marten for us, and this year we brought along three additional couples for the week. From our initial contact, Bob made our entire booking experience pleasant and easy!! James and Claudia met up with us at the car rental location, and were nothing but friendly and accommodating the entire week. We enjoyed their visits and fun personalities!! I cannot say enough how GREAT the home is!! Everything you could possibly want or need.....ITS THERE!! The views are amazing, the house is decorated amazing, and the location is simply the best! For us, it was nothing but 100% a great place to stay. The home allowed us our individual privacy, and yet plenty of space for all of us to gather and enjoy all the wonderful amenities the home has to offer. We MOST DEFINATELY will be returning next year. Thanks again Bob for everything.....cannot wait for February 2014!!

We shared a magical, fun-filled week with friends at Villa Bougainvillea this past December. The property was luxury in every aspect. Beyond the beautiful villa, pool and breath taking views, we had fun exploring the beaches, shops, and restaurants on the island. The owners provided us with extensive help in setting up beach reservations, chartered yacht excursions, and exceptional chefs for dining in the villa. Their tips and advice proved to be flawless, and allowed us to experience all the highlights of the area without stress or hassle. The property is well represented in the pictures, and the housekeeping services kept the villa spotless. You and your friends and/or family will have a true, luxury vacation by choosing this villa for your island escape!

We recently returned from a wonderful week in St. Maarten with our 4 sons (age 10-21). It was our first time visiting this amazing island and we all absolutely loved it! We chose SM as we had read about the great beaches, food, wine, and to experience some French and Dutch culture. We were so lucky to stay at Villa Bougainvillea! It is complete luxury - a beautiful, extremely spacious home, with gorgeous décor, amazing views over Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond, a spectacular pool area, many choices of outdoor sitting areas, top of the line appliances, and deluxe amenities (big screen TV, elevator, sound system, fitness room, etc). We found everything to be “as said” by the other reviewers. It’s in a very nice, upscale area and we felt very safe. Bob, the owner, was very responsive and extremely helpful and informative, not only regarding the Villa and rental, but also about our trip to the island in general. James, the manager, who met us at the airport to guide us to the home, was efficient with the intro to the home/ instructions. He was available throughout our stay by a cell phone which was provided. To summarize regarding this amazing villa, I think, like another reviewer, that we are all “spoiled forever”. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
We also loved the island itself! Early on we took a “preview scenic loop” around the entire island and during the week spent time at some of the 37 beaches -each unique, all awesome. At Dawn Beach (closest, very laid back) we hung out at Mr. Busby’s, boys rented skim and boogie boards. At famous, but busier, Orient beach, rented chairs at the beach bar, Waikiki one day (pricier, but more room) and reserved chairs with Natalie at Aloha another (great price, great food!). Also spent an afternoon at gorgeous Baie Rouge - our boys enjoyed the huge waves (be careful!) and some enjoyed massages on the beach. Also went Mullet Bay beach – beautiful! Water was calm and gorgeous! We also checked out the beaches at Grand Case, Cupecoy, and Maho. We spent time in Philipsburg, walked the Boardwalk, shopped on Front Street. In Marigot – visited the outdoor market, luxury stores, had amazing pastries at La Sucriere. For dinners, we can recommend Le Pressoir in Grand Case (amazing!), Chesterfields in Philipsburg (fun, delicious!), Canoa in Oyster Pond (“best steak ever” per my son) and we enjoyed pizza from Island Pizza and Mama’s. Our family has gone on several cruises and visited many islands and we decided this year for our family vacation that we would like to pick one island and spend our entire vacation there. After doing lots of research and talking to many people we picked St. Maarten. We saw Villa Bougainvillea and read the reviews and decided to contact Bob. We had never done a VRBO before. Bob was excellent to work with and he does everything in his power to make your stay the best it can be. He truly cares about his guests enjoying his villa and the island. He sent many emails so we could plan and enjoy our whole trip. James the property manager met us at the airport and escorted us back to the villa where he explained everything to us. He was always available for anything we needed during our stay. The villa is absolutely GORGEOUS and so spacious. This villa is immaculate and maintained exceptionally! The views are breathtaking from the villa as well as the many decks and the pool area. All areas of the house have enough seating for everyone so even large groups can all eat together and hang out together. The villa is equipped with everything you could possible need and the kitchen is state of the art. You can make frozen drinks and cook dinner in the beautiful kitchen or on the large gas grill on the patio. There is not one thing that we wished we had. There is a large book that has been put together with instructions for everything as well as things to do on the island and special places Bob recommends. We used this book on a daily basis. We visited Aloha on Orient Beach and loved it so much we went back with our family 2 more times. Natalie the owner and Max took excellent care of us. They saved us beach chairs close to the ocean and the food there was EXCELLENT! This is a must do in St. Maarten. We went to Loterie Farm for Zip lining which we all thought was an amazing experience. Pinel Island was also a favorite place we went. The beach was beautiful and the 4 beach bars on the island were tons of fun! We chartered a power catamaran with Bob's former captain Pierre. Our only advice would be make sure it is not a windy day because the water is very rough on windy days. Our family had a fantastic vacation and we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this villa to anyone! Bob and his villa were totally AWESOME in every way. Our family can't thank him enough for taking the time to make our vacation a trip we will remember forever. We would love to visit again soon

The panoramic views from this magnificent property were extraordinary, the photos do not do the view justice. The pool offers maximum exposure for the sun which we really appreciate. The property manger and staff are very accommodating and are available whenever you need them. Both the inside and outside are clean and well maintained. Our family of six adults and two young children found the house very spacious, sunny, and comfortable. We stayed two weeks and we spent most of our days in and around the property. Obviously, we would highly recommend the property, Bob the owner and the staff.

I would agree with a previous guest... I do not know how we could return to St. Maarten and stay anywhere else! The villa was perfect for our tenth anniversary trip, and first ever trip to the island. The views were stunning, the location was perfect, and the villa itself was unbelievable! We were blown away by how well-suited the home is to make your vacation perfect. We didn't need anything but clothes for this trip- the kitchen has everything you would ever need to make all your meals at home. All of the friendly suggestions on where to go and what to do were so very helpful. The owners were a real pleasure to work with, and did all they could to make sure our trip was the special event we would have hoped for! Thank you! We will be back!!! Next time, we will have to bring some more of our friends that we have bragged to, so they can experience it first-hand...

This villa is far and away the best place we have ever stayed on the island (and we've been around). The website was dead on with the views, list of amenities and description of the house. You literally can leave everything behind at home, throw in a bathing suit and couple of dinner outfits and you are good to go.

The villa is itself beautiful, very comfortable and roomy enough for 10 people - even if it rains for an entire week. There are plenty of spacious rooms and balconies to accomodate the entire party but yet there is ample space for some individual down time if needed.

Dawn Beach estates is a very nice development and this villa is a premier property.

Dealing with the owners was a pleasure, they were extremely informative and flexible.

If you are debating on renting this villa, debate no longer - do it!!!
