Vacation rental with all the conveniences you deserve! Please note that this property has a 4-night minimum stay.

Walk to shopping, beach, tourist attractions, boating at Marina Green, Golden Gate Yacht Club, San Francisco Yacht Club -- all on level ground. Walking distance to many of the America's Cup regatta activities this summer. The City has 7 hills, but the Marina District is not one of them. It's level ground for easy walking and running. Hills nearby if that's your choice.

This property is located 4 blocks from Marina Green. The America's Cup race course offers up-close viewing from any number of locations along the city front, with Marina Green among the prime locations.

The unit is fully furnished, including fully-equipped kitchen, linens, towels, paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins).

This unit is on the first floor and consists of 1600 sq. feet. 'First floor' is one level up from Ground Level. The building is a 3-unit residence with 2 full-floor flats and one garden apartment. There is garage parking for one small car for guests.

The two large bedrooms are in the rear of the flat. Very Quiet. The sleeping area can be closed off from the main living area with the hallway door, which makes it kid friendly. Each bedroom has one queen size bed with queen mattress and box spring.

There is one bathroom -- the usual San Francisco split bath with the toilet in a separate room so that one person can shower while another uses the toilet in private. The breakfast nook off the kitchen is perfect for planning the day's activities at breakfast. It's also good as a makeshift office/computer room. There is a formal dining room for catching up around the dinner table after a long day out having fun.

The large living room is in the front of the flat with a wall of windows for great light.

The kitchen and breakfast nook have all the charm of the 1920s when the building was built, with modern-day conveniences.

Wireless Internet access throughout for working or just emailing and surfing the internet.

The combination mud-laundry room next to the kitchen opens to the outside with access to the garage and backyard.

The over-sized (for San Francisco) backyard has a large patio for barbecues and picnic-style eating.

I certainly recommend this flat. It is a large two bedroom unit in a terrific location within easy walking distance to all the restaurants on Chestnut. It was spotless and contained all the kitchen utensils you would want- we entertained one night and it was perfect- we went up to Lucca's on Chestnut and ordered chicken parmigiana - yum!
I particularly like the parking. Evelyn provides one space in the garage and she was very helpful in letting our daughter park there for a few hours when she visited.
The property was built in 1926 and it retains the charm of that period while not lacking in modern amenities. It is also well priced for the neighborhood- we have stayed in other flats in the Marina and this compares extremely well- we certainly plan to stay there again! JD

Flat was exactly as described in the listing. A quiet spot on a quiet street, close by the large assortment of restaurants along Chestnut St, and only a few blocks from the bay and Marina Green. The flat was well-equipped, with everything clean and orderly. The owner was very pleasant and easy to deal with in making advance arrangements. Lots of "little things" show the owner had thought things thru thoroughly from the perspective of the guests, and for their convenience. Ideal for one or two couples or a couple with kids, for a long or short stay. We'll be back.

This flat is everything you could want in the city. Location is great in the Marina area with many nice restaurants and shops on Chestnut and nearby. We loved staying here as opposed to a hotel, much more like home and space to enjoy yourself. Evelyn was very nice and accomodating. The place is clean and well appointed and will give you all you need for your trip. Highly recommend!

We found the flat to be exceptionally nice and convenient to the Marina area of San Francisco. The pictures on the website were very accurate and the apartment was very clean. There were many nice shops and restaurants in within walking distance. One restaurant we wondered upon was Isa on Steiner between Lombard and Chestnut. It was a delightful dining experience. I would definately recommond this flat to anyone staying in this area and I would certainly use it again if we come to San Francisco.

Excellent location. Easy walking to Marina, Fisherman's Wharf & beyond. We even walked to Union Square - quite hilly, but doable.
The owner was fantastic to deal with, the flat was exactly as described & very clean.
Would stay at this location if in San Francisco again & would happily recommend it to anyone travelling to San Francisco.
Try Greens restaurant in Fort Mason (vegitarian) or La Scala in the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in Union Square.

Owner's Response: These guests certainly got around the City! The hills on the way to Union Square started after they left the Marina District. I imagine they walked over the hills of North Beach and Chinatown to get to Union Square. Hardy souls and a great way to see the City. Greens and La Scala are excellent restaurant choices, as are the many fine local restaurants in the Marina.

The Flat is beautiful, well decorated and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, The kitchen was well supplied. We are a pair of Baby Boomers traveling from Georgia to San Francisco. Evelyn went out of her way to accommodate us, she made sure all our questions were answered. She was very thoughtful and provided extremely useful information about the surrounding area as well as detailed information on where to go and what to do in the area; I would highly recommend her and her flat.

My parents and husband and I spent a week in the Marina flat. It was plenty of room for all of us for the week. It was a great location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The water was very close too as well as beautiful neighborhoods to wander through. There was a decent grocery store within walking distance too. Access to the garage was key as we rarely saw open parking spaces on the street. The flat was clean, cared for and the pictures reflected the property very well. Evelyn stopped by to say hello but other than that gave us our space and freedom while we were there. We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely flat in a great location

Located in a wonderful neighborhood, this charming flat had us feeling right at home as soon as we arrived. The place was spotless and very nicely furnished with comfortable beds and plenty of fresh towels. We enjoyed relaxing in the cozy living room after a day of hiking around the city. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a spacious dining room, but we only ate in for breakfast and snacks as it is just a short walk to many wonderful restaurants. (We especially liked Bistro Aix and Yakul Place Thai.) A bus stop is very near, so travelling to other parts of the city was a piece of cake. Chrissy Field is not far, and we enjoyed a couple of morning jogs down by the bay. I hope our travels take us back to San Francisco soon as we would like to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home and making our stay care free.

Quiet, convenient, clean, bright and super organized owner!

The 3 of us (2 adults + 1 toddler) stayed here for 5 nights and were very impressed upon arrival. This property listing is very accurately written. The flat is on a quiet street yet very convenient to many amenities. The bedrooms, dining room, TV room are bright and spacious. The kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry room are a very comfortable size. One of the bedrooms includes an ensuite with an extra large tub and sink. As is typical with San Francisco flats, the toilet is in a separate but small room. The other bedroom has a huge walk-in closet. Having rented other properties in the past, and being picky about cleanliness, this was the cleanest place we've stayed at so far. We were very impressed with how responsive the owner was with any questions we had. She seemed friendly, organized and above all, honest and reliable. The flat was very well stocked with linens, kitchen supplies etc. Bonus: so convenient having a garage. If you have the option and plan to rent a car, a small to mid-size car is recommended as the garage is narrow but fit our mid-size 4 door car just fine. We highly recommend the owner and this flat and would return again!
