This little, quaint 1/1 was the perfect temporary place. I stayed in BLST for 5 weeks, during my transition to relocating to Austin from another state. I rented through VacationCakes, and from the moment of my inquiry, Ric was fantastic to deal with! Ric was professional, knowledgeable, and very quick to respond to any correspondence I made, during the entire rental process and during my stay. Ric and the owner, Kristen, went above and beyond hospitality during my stay, even periodically checking on me via email and phone calls to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. If something was lacking (and this only occurred twice during my stay, and for minor items), it was responded to immediately, and resolved within a couple hours. Kristen even checked with me to make sure she was not disturbing me while she worked in the space below the apt. (she was not) Now that is service with a smile! BLST is small, but it was the perfect size for me and my black lab (they are also very pet friendly - always a plus in my book:), it was very clean, had all the comforts and amenities of home, and was very conveniently located. I truly, could not have asked for better hospitality, or a better experience than BLST and VacationCakes. Thank you Ric and Kristen for making my transition to Austin so pleasant, and for providing such a comfortable place to call home while I settled in to a new city!

I don't remember the exact dates of my visits, so the date above may not be accurate. I stayed there once with my husband and once with a girlfriend. The listing description was spot on! We found the property to be squeaky clean and obviously well-cared for. Going down the list to the right, the owner provided stellar service. Not only would I recommend this property to a friend/relative, I HAVE. We appreciated being close to relatives and friends, as well as good restaurants, many attractions, like UT and places to see/hear live music, AND a Walgreen's and a cool, funky corner store with an outstanding wine selection as well as many other great things (like chocolate)! But it was best to have a cozy, quiet retreat when desired or needed!
