Tracy has not only made this an easy condo to book, but also has set her unit up for a very comfortable stay. The condo is in a well maintained and very secure (gated) older complex directly on the beach. It is a true ocean-front complex. There are no big gardens and no pool, but we never use those when we come to Hawaii anyway. The beach is amazing, and the ocean far better to play in than any pool. She has also provided nice pots, pans, utensils, etc (not the usual 'rental grade' you usually find) making cooking a pleasure. She has thought of the little details in setting up this unit for an easy, pleasurable stay, providing soaps, extra toilet paper, laundry stuff and all the little things that usually adds up. On top of that, she is a lovely and honest lady to deal with. Even though we were arriving rather late she personally met us there and showed us around.

The unit was exactly as described. It was clean when we arrived and easy to keep clean and still live in.

Parking is also easy (and FREE!), plus very close to the elevator. And this is a quiet area on O'ahu, with no real 'touristy' traps around. The neighborhood is not fancy like Waikiki, but I think that is a plus. People are friendly and easy going, and there are lots of true 'local' places to eat and visit nearby. It is a safe area to be in, with even my picky wife being comfortable.

Tracy was very accommodating, answering my endless questions and meeting us when we arrived. It was reassuring to know she was only a phone call away.

The condo was clean and Tracy pays attention to the details. She supplies everything you need for your days on the beach or hanging out in the condo. She even supplied coffee so we didn't have go to the grocery store first thing in the morning!

We walked on the beach every day, watched whales from the lanai, enjoyed doing the tourist activities around the island and couldn't resist putting the top down on the car and just going for a cruise! (Rush hour isn't so bad when you don't have to do it every day) It was nice to have a kitchen; we cooked breakfast, packed a lunch and enjoyed trying out the local food for supper.

We were recommending the condo before we had even left for home :)

My wife and I stayed at Makaha Beach Cabanas and it was a wonderful one bedroom condo right on the beach. It was very clean and has everything you will need from beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkle gear to a fully stocked kitchen. The veiws were awesome, we saw sea turtles, whales and even a sea lion from the lanai and beautiful sunsets everyday. The listing is accurate and the condo is even more impressive than the pictures show. Tracy met us to make sure everthing was ok and answer any questions we had. After our stay we felt like we had made a new friend. I would definitely recommend this condo to a friend and look forward to staying here again.

We can't say enough good things about this condo - it is our second stay and we love the location; looking out to sea and looking for whales from our lanai. What could be better.

We walk every morning in the adjoining neighborhood and sneak through easements to the ocean and collect shells - our necks are stiff when we return from looking down to retrieve shells.

This stay we found a local cafe and organic farm, which serves lunch and dinner. Everything is grown on the farm - even the cattle and chickens are raised on the farm. It is called Kahumana Organic Farm and Cafe and is about a 10 minute drive from the condo.

We also enjoy driving up north to the village of Haleiwa and eating from one of the shrimp vans, which we did do, but we also went to Jameson's Pub at the far north end of Haleiwa and the meal was great.

This is a fantastic rental as long as you rent a car as it is necessary to drive for grocery shopping and drives to sight-see. Another must do is a walk to K'aena Point to see the nesting albatross (depending on the time of year) - wear running shoes. Thanks Tracy for this lovely condo.

My husband and I rented this wonderful gem for a week. You never know what you are going to get when renting from someone over the internet, but this condo was amazing. Tracy, the owner, was the best to work with. I will rent from her every time we come to Oahu. The beach is spectacular and everyone is friendly. Our flight was delayed on our last day of our trip and we had to stay in Honolulu. Night and day. We made the right decision to stay in Makaha. If you are looking for something that is peaceful and beautiful you won't find that in Waikiki or Honolulu. Stay here. :)

We had the opportunity to spend a week at this condo in December and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Tracy met us when we arrived and made sure we were set and had everything we needed.

The Condo is true to the advertisement, it has all amenities listed, and just about anything you could want. There are quite a few people who live here, and all the tenets we met were very friendly and eager to help if you had a question.

We loved the private beach, never had to fight people for space. We saw multiple turtles and even saw the whales several times. The snorkel gear in the condo came in handy for getting a better look at the turtles.

As with many condos in Hawaii there is no AC but it's not needed due to temperatures. My only complaint was that the condo is close to the road so when you leave the windows open for the air, the motorcycles and scooters get really loud at times.

Overall we really enjoyed this place. We liked being away from all the hustle of the main city and beaches, but you can still get to town in 30-60 min depending on traffic.

If you want other beaches, about a mile north is a beach where they had a large surfing competition while we were there. Also, you have Pokai Bay with the Army Recreation center just south, and the Ko-Olina lagoons about 10-15 min away that are very nice.

If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. We enjoyed it, thanks Tracy.

Just spent a month here in November 2012. Owner made sure to meet me on arrival and departure to make sure everything was okay. She was also responsive to calls or emails with questions.

She is the new owner and is in the process of updating the condo...all for the better based on photos and info when I initially rented it. New bed, air mattress, television, entry table, toilet, hot water heater...

All the beach accessories you will need are provided. Great beach at your doorstep that you don't have to fight people for space of your own. Not too many people during our visit! But if the waves get too big for you (depending on the day!), you can go one mile north to watch the surfers at Makaha Beach. Or go about two miles south to Pokai Beach, where there is a breakwater and a more gradual entry into the water.

You definitely need a car and with traffic and construction, it can be about 30 min or more just from Kapolei back to Makaha. Once you know the times to avoid, we just planned the day around that without any issue. But once you get there and see beach, you won't want to leave.

If you are a light sleeper, bring some earplugs. It took some getting used to the waves on the bedroom side of the condo. And we were three people for part of our stay, and the traffic noise on the living room side (where we used the tall queen size air mattress) may require you to wear them.

We were comfortable with three adults for two weeks, any more, you'll have to really love each other! The rest of the time I was alone at the condo and was completely comfortable - never worried about safety. Gated parking with security at night. We saw them patrolling the beach at 3am.
