Great house with an interesting history

We stayed here during our visit to Arkansas for a football game. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 3 children. The pictures and descriptions of the house are very accurate. It actually felt bigger than I was expecting.

The upstairs loft area was a great place for the kids to sleep and hang out. The entire house felt spacious and there was plenty of room for us to all spread out.

The only bathroom with a shower is off the master bedroom. It was fine for us and we all just took turns taking showers, but it might be an issue for anyone who requires more privacy. Sometimes the plumbing in old houses can be an issue, but it worked excellent for us.

All of the fixtures and appliances were clean, modern, and in good working order.

You can really tell that the owner put much effort into making sure we had anything we needed. There were extra (soft and fluffy) towels and bed linens tucked all through the house. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and eat several meals at the house. There was even milk and OJ left for us in the fridge.

The drive to Fayetteville is an easy one and takes about 15 minutes or less. We got a taxi to take us to and from the football game for $40 each way. Not too bad! There is a nice grocery store, Sonic and pizza place less than a mile away.

We took one day to visit War Eagle Mill, War Eagle Cavern and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Park. The drive to the Mill was right around 30 minutes and was beautiful.

This is a great place to bring kids or to just relax and get away from it all. We will be back the next time the Aggies play in Arkansas!

This rental exceeded all of our expectations! The home and property were clean, very well maintained, and well stocked with everything we needed and more. The service that the owner provided was excellent. My husband, 2 sons, 2 dachshunds, a friend, and I enjoyed our stay so much that many of the activities we planned were abandoned to just enjoy the peaceful home and land. The hot tub and swimming pool were a great way to relax. We will definitely be returning to this rental in the future.

We enjoyed the house especially the pool and hot tub. We also used the game table upstairs. The history of the house was very interesting. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We loved the cake she had for us in the refrigerator! She also provided orange juice and milk. There is a very nice Harp's right down the road for any grocery needs. We were close to Arvest Ballpark where we saw two games. We also did some flea marketing in the area. It was very nice relaxing long weekend!

This was a wonderful old house, full of character and charm. We walked in and immediately fell in love with the place. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night. Everything was clean, extremely comfortable and the house was in a great location allowing us to explore northern AR. We will be back!

My wife and I rented this house to spend some time together after she went back to school and got her Degree and for my 50th Birthday. It was better than we had hoped! The owners are the best kind of down to earth people. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. Ms Patricia even had a cake there for us.
It is close enough to Fayetteville to run to easily but has that country living feel. The back deck is perfect to sit around in the evening to enjoy the cool breeze. My wife loved the Jacuzzi.
The house has that old rustic charm that you would expect from an older house but is very clean and has plenty of towels, blankets etc.
We would recommend this place to anyone and plan to stay there again.

Summer Stay

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. It provided a great place to stay after we got married. It was very clean and organized when we arrived and had everything we needed. All the amenities worked, the front and backyard were clean, and it all looked very nice. We enjoyed the use of the hot-tub and pool. We enjoyed it being closer to nature and not noisy. Although, it's close enough to town that it's just a quick trip away from a gas station and grocery store. I'd recommend it to any friend or family. There is plenty of space for a family to stay.

Location was great, away from all the traffic of BBBBQ. Love the house and it's space and very clean too with fresh sheets and towels. Also enjoyed the popcorn as an evening snack. Like the carport in the back for motorcycles. Drawbacks are:
no light above mirror in the bedroom
bathroom has cast iron tub with no shower so I had to use a pan from the kitchen for a dipper
has regular coffee pot but no coffee
has plenty of Kuerig coffee singles in different flavors but no pot
