The two story cottage is located in the northwest corner of Connecticut in small historic Falls Village. Turning onto a private tree lined road, looking at the pines as you drive down to a beautiful cedar cottage on the river. As you pull in the drive, you spot the screened porch, which you can imagine sitting in with coffee tomorrow morning. You walk through the front door into the spacious entry, wandering past the stairs, into the gourmet kitchen with river views and hickory wood floors throughout. The kitchen flows into the dining area and living room surrounded by windows with ample natural light. A 12' sliding door leads you from living room to the 12' x 24' deck where you can lounge in the sun and grill out for yourself and friends in the beautiful spring and summer. During the winter, curl up in the living room on the sofa in front of a blazing fire. A full bathroom with glass shower and natural light and bedroom with twin beds are off the living room. Next, you head upstairs to the master suite overlooking the river. A luxurious pillow top mattress to sleep, a sitting area to read and a custom bathroom with walk in shower and and over-sized jacuzzi tub to relax in. Weekly housekeeping service required, prices may vary.

After growing up in northern Virginia and traveling around the country for school and vacations, NW CT is a special place for me. I found the area because an old friend and stayed there for me. I had a business in Millerton, NY for a few years and made some great friends. My life has taken me back to Colorado for now, but I hope to retain this property for years to come.

My wife and I frequently use HomeAway.com since we travel extensively. Our experience with Kimberly and her home was nothing less than spectacular! We sent an email regarding our interest in renting the home last minute for a weekend getaway in which she replied immediately. When we arrived to the house, we were amazed how beautiful the home was! It had recently undergone a complete gorgeous renovation (the pictures do not do it justice). The master bedroom upstairs is amazing with views of the Housatonic River and the bathroom and closets were absolutely incredible. The kitchen is fully equipped for the best of chefs with all top of the line new appliances, utensils and cookware (brand new!) and would be a great space for entertaining. The guest bedroom has plenty of space with a great bathroom also. The deck off of the back is a perfect place to sit, relax and watch the river go down stream as you BBQ. The home is nothing less than 5 stars! We enjoyed it so much that we actually booked it for the following weekend to return which was just as amazing. If you are looking for an amazing house, centrally located to Lime Rock and Music Mountain along with being in the heart of the Litchfield hills, this is your dream rental home! Thank you Kimberly for everything and we will see you again soon!
