Very enjoyable break from winter weather

I found everything as depicted in the owner's pictures and description. Very comfortable king sized bed also.
Great shower, and very nice location for one visiting the Destin area for the first time. Found it very convenient to everything I would need. Within the complex, I don't believe I could have found a better location, directly above the pool, and although I tend to stay away from high-rise complexes, being only on the third floor was just perfect. Coffee in the morning watching the fishermen troll for Cobia, and, of course, the morning dolphin run is a most important part of any seaside adventure. Incredible beach, with excellent beach service.
Only problem, if it could be considered one, were the coffee pot and toaster. Coffee pot seemed to have a mind of its own when it came to turning on, and the toaster charred everything unless you turned it off manually. I'm sure the very accommodating owners will address those issues as soon as they read this review.
Great place, and perfect for just a couple, or small family. I would recommend the accommodations, and will most likely use the property again if I choose to return and need this size property. I actually inquired about staying a couple of more days, but unfortunately the property had been booked by another party.

In spite of the cold weather & construction(on property grounds)it didn't stop us from doing anything from all Destin has to offer. The Southern Star Dolphin Cruise was a fun time. Harborwalk Village & BayTowne Wharf has great little shops to browse around in,as well as the Ft. Walton Beach Flea Market & Copper Penny's Emporium. A.J's , The Crab Trap(for Dinner)& The Donut Hole(for Breakfast-is a must & was our favorite). The condo was IMMACULATE & accurately described as listed...Lindsay @ the Front Desk was a sweetie!!! Overall 2 THUMBS UP to Bob & Jodie for making this a very enjoyable & memorable "50th" Birthday for me. We would LOVE to come back & stay @ your place again!!!

So, we went to Florida. My two very best friends and me. Three women. Each of us has a very busy life, but this kind of trip that includes the kinds of laughs that makes you gasp for your breath and think you're going to pass out on the floor if anyone says one more thing or looks at you sideways is just necessary. We go every year.
This year we called Bob and Jodie's condo home and, honestly, we could not have been more pleased. From top to bottom it just worked perfectly for us. We woke up to beautiful ocean views, we sat and chatted and laughed long into the night on the balcony, we slept like rocks on the very comfortable beds (even the sofa bed was great and that never happens!) and we were able to find everything we needed in the kitchen to cook up some fun treats to share while we just kept gabbing.
The weather was actually really perfect for November. We even swam in the ocean and enjoyed hanging on the very empty beach. SunDestin is in a fantastic location to easily access great places to eat, shop and drink and we absolutely did all three.
Salt air really does heal your soul. This condo is not large, but the proximity to the beach (it really is just right there), the terrific and kind staff, and the fact that Bob and Jodie are so thoughtful to think of all the small details make it truly one of the best spots to stay in Destin. We all agreed that we want to come back again and again and again!

A wonderful stay in a well appointed, clean condo.

We stayed in this unit for a full week at the end of October / early November 2012. It was pretty cool the first few days, with high winds, which really limited beach time. However, as the condo balcony was sheltered on each side, the wind was hardly a factor, so we thoroughly enjoyed the balcony through the mornings, days, and into the evenings. View of the beach was tremendous, and got to witness great sunsets almost daily. Got to witness a couple weddings on the beach just outside our unit! Our first day there, watched a little girl reel in a 25+ lb fish on the beach! The condo was clean and well appointed, and having 1.5 restrooms was handy. As the unit is on the 3rd floor, we utilized the stairs at times, however never had a long wait for the elevators. I did find that the building was in need of "refreshing"...new common area paint / carpet would be a big plus. The DVD machines in the lobby were nice to have, although they were kind of difficult to use (the one "assigned" to us didn't have any volume for previews, and neither of them provided a written preview of the video...kind of weird setup, but appreciated having it as part of our rental package.) Also, due to the changing season, it was pretty dark outside before the common area lighting came on...probably just a timer adjustment thing, which seemed to get straightened out toward the end. The only negatives re. the condo unit were (i) no screen on the patio door, and (ii) unable to open the bedroom window, so the ability for fresh air inside was limited. But it wasn't a big deal, just would've been nice. All in all, a VERY nice vacation spot, and a good value.

"We have had a blast! This is the best condo ever and we plan on coming back here again. On two different days, we have seen dolphins swimming out in the ocean from the balcony." We cant wait to schedule our vacation for next year !!!

My family has traveled to Florida for years but this was our first trip to Destin. I took my daughter and 2 friends and we had one of the best vacations. We walked into the Sundestin lobby and we were greeted by the friendliest staff. Checking in was so fast and we were in the condo in less than 10 minutes. The view from our balcony was wonderful and the girls wasted no time heading to the beach! The girls had a different activity planned everyday; parasailing, dolphin tours and waverunners. The condo is centrally located, so they would do an activity in the morning and we still had the afternoon at the beach. I have rented from VRBO and other online rental places and I can say that having direct contact with Bob was wonderful. I can not wait to come back!!!
