Located in Kona Palms, a small and quiet complex across from a beautiful surf spot on scenic Ali'i Drive. Close to popular local beaches, shopping, and attractions, and an easy drive to the resorts and beaches of the Kohala coast. You can watch surfers and enjoy sunsets from the lanai. Ali'i Drive is great for walking, jogging, and bicycling. One of the best snorkel beaches on the island is just down the road (Kahalu'u beach). Many good local restaurants and sunset bars are nearby.

Gentle onshore breeze all day and gentle offshore breeze all night. Rooms have ceiling fans. No air conditioning is needed as moderate temperatures make for comfortable island-style living.

Condo complex is small and quiet. There is an oceanfront drive in front of the unit (Ali'i Drive) so there is some car noise, but traffic is slow and occasional. The bedrooms are located at the back of the unit and are quiet because the property behind is undeveloped.

The unit is owned by an island family and managed by a family member who lives locally.

About Andrew Moore - Reservation Manager

A family owns and operates the unit. Andrew is the Reservation Manager, and he lives on the mainland. His sister, Sara, lives in Kona and she is the Condo Manager. Sara is a mom and working cowgirl (she manages a large local ranch), and she loves rodeos and playing the ukulele.

Wonderful Stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your condo. So nice that there are so few units. Very quiet, and a great place to get some needed R & R. Then there is the fabulous Ocean view, with surfers and even a few whales. After 2 weeks we actually felt like we knew some of the surfers who parked in front of the unit every day at the same time.
The manager is very nice and was there to greet us when we arrived, and checked in with us later to see if we had any questions. Really made us feel welcome. Thank you so much!

The location is perfect, close to shopping and the beaches. The condo is spacious with an excellent view of the ocean. It is located on Alii drive which is very busy, so the sounds from the road were initially annoying, but the beauty of the ocean and the fabulous sunsets masked the noise after a few days. There is snorkeling across the street, and you are bound to see sea turtles sunning themselves. We saw whales nearly every day.
The condo is fully equipped making the stay quite comfortable. The people are very friendly.

Next door to our friends condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the condo. The balcony looks out on the pacific where whales and dolphins play continuously, this time of year. It's close to town and anything you need can be gotten easily. The previous tenant was late getting out and the owner came over and cleaned it herself to prevent us from having any delay in occupying the unit. We had a great time.

We really liked this property. The location was great. Description given re location, rental's appearance and amenities were accurate. It is clean and well maintained. The owner is very accessible. We would definitely recommend this property.

very quiet and well kept unit. great location for shopping and beaches. excellent ocean view, watched spinner dolphins in bay, while enjoying our morning coffee on the lani. can't wait to go back.

Great Location

My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the lanai swing and watching the ocean. On most days there were surfers, stand up paddle boarders and kayakers. The location was close to town for restaurants and shopping. Plus it was close to a snorkeling and surf board rental/lesson store. We rented a car and found it easy to get around from this central location. The pictures are as the unit is though power lines can be seen from the porch. This does not detract from the view. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment plus spices/herbs for cooking meals. The owner has made this unit to be very comfortable. We highly recommend the Hulihe'e Palace where one can learn the Hawaiian history and culture. If a tour is available, take it. You won't be disappointed. We found the Kona Brewery to have fabulous beer and food is a relaxing atmosphere.

The Best Vacation Spot Ever

I have been renting this condo for my Hawaii vacations over the past 2 years and the location and views are amazing. The condo is equipped with everything you could possibly need to have the best vacation ever. The owner Sara is so nice she is on top of every detail a vacation home could need. I stayed 9 weeks in 2010 and 13 weeks in 2011 and I have already booked for 2012. Can't wait to get back to the big Island.
