Sand Castle is a four-suite bedroom home on the ocean located between mile marker 15 and 15.5. It is a single family house; not a duplex! It is slightly smaller than normal six bedroom homes so there is plenty of room. When you first arrive in the oceanfront home, you know it has been furnished with love and attention. The home is newly on the rental market and has served as a second home since being built in 2002. A separate game room for the kids is equipped with board games, X Box360 and large screen TV. There is even a nursery room attached to one of the masters: A perfect place for infants/small children.(Cribs may be rented) Ocean views and gazebo sitting makes this home the perfect ocean experience. Whether you want to spend your day on the beach or rocking on the porch, a week at Sand Castle will improve your over all happiness..

I designed this house for a family. There are four custom bedrooms: each with its’ own bathroom. The bedrooms are decorated individually with adults and children in mind. Each bedroom has a TV.

There are two dens on the main level: one for kids; the other for adults. In the kid’s den, I have included a 32” flat screen with PlayStation access in one area. On the other end, a game table for puzzles and cards. The adult den also has a 40” TV with DVD player and several movies. When you are tired of the dens, take advantage of the large deck were you can sit, eat or drink to the sounds of the ocean. Go out the walkway to the beach and stop by the gazebo to grab a chair or float..

After your day on the beach, you may enjoy a dip in the Jacuzzi. Or if you want, enjoy the swimming pool and/or tennis near by.

Please note that in 2012 we do not accept pets. Sorry!

About The Owner

I didn't build this house with intentions of renting. But now my two children are in college and have their own schedules so I have decided to rent this home so others can enjoy the beauty and the tranquility of Emerald Isle. I am a former hairdresser who loves Emerald Isle. You can find a salon sink and chair in the house. Have fun playing hairdresser or bring a hairdresser in. This has been my second home since 2002 and I have been coming every month year around. Why, this is a wonderful place to be. I hope you will feel as comfortable here as I do. It is oceanfront with a private walkway and I have a fabulous view. There is a hot tub and an outdoor shower.

Why The Owner chose Emerald Isle

This is a wonderful location. It is close to so many things. The beach line is so long; one could walk all day and not be bored. There is a NC Aquarium, Fort Macon, family fun sites and many restaurants to choose from. We can also make arrangements to have a private chef work with you.

What makes this house unique

The gazebo and hair styling station are both unique. This beach area is not crowded because it is occupied by single family homes. There is a mini mart and surf shop within walking distance. Two blocks away is a fire and rescue station. In the winter, the sun rises and sets over the water. Come see for yourself!

Not cramped even with 13

We had a beautiful week in every way possible. The weather was outstanding every day and the housing accommodations were equally great! The house was easily outstanding as we were not cramped with 13 of us. The decor was what you would expect a beach house to be and we are strongly considering a return visit next summer. We really can't more about our sty other than it was grand! We thank you for giving our family such a great time. Lastly thank you Cleve for taking such great care of us!

We were happy to stay at a clean, well equipped home!! Other than more comfortable seating in the living room and hooks & towel racks in the bathroom, we loved the house! The area offered many things to do; we liked the Aquarium - well worth the money (very affordable). We also liked the greeting we received when we arrived by the property manger. They went through the house with us, showing us details and we were able to ask questions. Thanks for a memorable time!

Beautiful Wedding Weekend

We had our wedding at Sancastle and then spent the weekend there as well. We couldn't have picked a more beautiful house to host our beach wedding and reception at. Cleve and Kay were awesome, and Cleve was by far the easiest one of my "vendors" to communicate with. The beach was beautiful and the house was very clean. We had four families (5 kids total) plus our dogs staying at the house, and everyone had plenty of room to move about. Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful the house was, and we will definitely be back to stay again.

Thanks again for letting us have our wedding and reception there, and for being so accomodating. I would (and have) recommend this house to everyone for their vacation, and also if you want to have a small, nice beach wedding at.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
