The Serenity offers all of the modern conveniences of home with spectacular harbor views from every room of the house. Our villa is equipped with a full modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and tiled floors. The villa sleeps 7 comfortably with 3 bedrooms, which include 2 queen size beds, 2 twins and a day bed and a spare room can sleep an additional 2 as it includes 1 queen sofa pull out bed. The master bedroom features a tray ceiling, queen bed, tile floors, private TV and desk area. In each bedroom large, glass, French doors open out onto a wrap around veranda with panoramic ocean view. A private tiled bathroom is off of each bedroom. An over/under washer and dryer are at your disposal if a little wash needs to be done. The outside back verandas are furnished with new upscale patio furniture with seating up to 8 people. A stroll down the stone path leads to a private boat dock where you can also tie your boat up at and a quaint gazebo perfect for intimate dinners under the moonlit skies.

What to Do in Exuma

Your vacation can be as active or as relaxing as you choose. Unlike many Caribbean islands, the Exumas are a safe island where you can feel comfortable exploring the Bahamian culture and the friendliness of the local community all on your own. The quaint town of Georgetown is just minutes away from February Point where you can shop charming boutiques , marvel at talented artists at the local straw market, taste delicious Bahamian food, or explore some of the unique history of the island. A few grocery stores are also located in George Town for your convenience.

Car rentals are available at the Georgetown airport if you choose to rent one for your stay to explore the beautiful island. Consider renting a boat or water taxis to enjoy many of the local attractions and the down home hospitality the island has to offer.

A must stop is Chat and Chill on Stocking Island where one can delight in an authentic Bahamian experience. This beach bar and grill won’t disappoint you with their delicious hamburgers and fries, or their famous Conch salad made fresh daily right on the beach. Join in on a volley ball game, Stingray feeding or just relax on its sandy beach and enjoy the island music. Don’t miss out; every Sunday is their very popular pig roast. Just take a water taxis from Government Dock for a fun filled day!

Many popular sports can be experienced at various locations including snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, water skiing, shark diving and sailing. For a day of adventure, Exuma Water Sports offers a variety of fun excursions.

Yachtsman from all around the world come to Elizabeth Harbor in George Town for the renown Regattas and sailing events that take place each year.

The Exumas are ideal for fisherman of various tastes, whether you enjoy fishing in the shallow waters or trying your hand at deep sea fishing. The Flats located near Great Exuma is a perfect spot to catch an abundance of bonefish, grouper, snapper and lobster. Or if it is Marlin, Sailfish or Wahoo that you are hoping to hook the Exuma Sound is a prime location.

If golf is your sport, an 18 hole championship course awaits you at the Emerald Reef Golf Course, next to the new Sandals resort. The course was designed by golf legend Greg Norman. It offers pristine ocean side beauty along the turquoise waters.

Beaches

For beach lovers, one can’t miss some of the most private beautiful beaches in the world. Hamburger Beach, the secluded Tropic of Cancer, Coco Plum, and Sand Dollar Beach are only some of the breath taking beaches Exuma has to offer. If you are a little more adventurous there are many other small hidden coves and cays that dot the island that one can merely discover. No matter what beach you find, the warm turquoise waters of the Atlantic will prove to be an unforgettable experience.

By far, one of the most exotic, natural, breath- taking experiences is visiting the sand bar that magically appears out of the ocean in Elizabeth Harbor. If you catch it just right at low tide, it is a perfect location for an island wedding or engagement, as my son and his fiancé became engaged on this very sand bar just this past December. A truly memorable moment forever!

Where to Eat on the Island

Enjoy appetizing, traditional Bahamian dishes at its many local restaurants. For a truly delectable dining experience Bamboo Bistro at February Point is a must on the list. The Augusta Bay and Peace & Plenty offer a very appetizing cuisine. The Sandals Resort offers a variety of dining experiences. For a fantastic selection of local favorites try the Splash Club or the Fish Fry.
