We stayed here five nights in May 2012 and loved every minute. We had the upstairs one bedroom unit which was very clean and comfortable for two people. The unit is right on a stunning beach. The beach is beautiful and you can snorkel with the turtles directly in front of Annabelles. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. The buses run frequently right in front of the apartment and only cost $2 BBD per person. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed for six days and nights at the St. James apt. above the boutique. It was very clean, neat and inviting. It was conveniently located to bus lines. Our beach which was just a few steps below the apt. was absolutely gorgeous! The manager was very hospitable, accommodating and very friendly.
We would definitely recommend this to our friends.

Recently stayed in the 1bd apt above the boutique on the property. The description provided on VRBO and by the owner were adequate. The apt had all the amenities you could ask for (was especially grateful for the a/c in the bedroom after spending the last 7 nights without). The decor was inviting. The apt was very clean and the caretaker on site was helpful and made sure we were provided for. The owner was also very helpful and answered emails and phone calls readily.
The only downsides are the beach directly in front of the apt is not quite as "clean" as some of the nearby beaches, although a short walk in either direction will put you in a more inviting area. Also, (not sure how the front house/apt is) the flooring in the apt does not allow for good sound control and whatever is said below you in the boutique (as I'm sure was heard from myself/guest as well) is completely discernible.
The jazz bar down the main road (Mr. Vics) had the best fishcakes and excellent happy hour prices for drinks. The tapas restaurant a little further down seemed like it would have been a better place to go get late night drinks than for food. The resorts in the immediate area were also accommodating with letting us use their cushy lounge chairs when ordering drinks. Transportation to the nearby cities is easy via the local buses (blue or yellow) for only 2 BBD.
I would definitely recommend staying at this spot if you are looking for a good location on the western side that is affordable, you are interested in doing some of your own cooking, and you don't mind being able to hear what is going on in the immediate world around you.

I just came back from Barbados and the location on the beach was great. This place is directly located on the best spot on this side of the coast. I check other apartments on this coast but the beach areas had to much reefs close to the shore, or the area to swim is small. At Annabelles Apartments you have a whole long beach to swim. Private Access to the beach, bbq, a/c, wi-fi, washing machine, maid services, cable ... you name it they got it and it was only $85 a night. Loved it. I'll be back.
