Your condo opens directly onto a landscaped lawn with a heated swimming pool and barbecue facilities. However, the real treat is Honokeana Cove, directly in front of your lanai - a secluded and uncrowded snorkeling area filled with tropical fish and coral gardens. Here, you can have the unforgettable experience of swimming just yards away from the many giant Green Sea Turtles who live in the Cove.
YOUR UNIT. There's no high rise concrete here, and no crowds either. Honokeana Cove is a gated community with only 38 low-rise condos grouped in 3 buildings embracing the Cove. And Unit 114 is right in the center of the oceanfront – relax on the lanai and enjoy sweeping ocean and surf views, afternoon sun, and romantic sunsets.
This condo is modern, well equipped for your comfort and relaxation. The bedroom is air conditioned and may be configured with a king bed or two single beds at your request. The bedroom has double windows for soundproofing and blackout curtains. The beds have foam toppers on one side but not the other: if the mattress is too soft or too firm, you can flip it over. The living room has a queen sofa bed, and there is a folding screen (stored beneath the king bed) to provide extra privacy if desired.

FAIR RATES! You’ll find the rates at Honokeana Cove to be very competitive among all West Maui condos! All units in the Cove rental group are required to advertise the same rates as shown on the Cove website honokeana-cove dot com, so you should choose your unit based on its location and its amenities. The one-bedroom rates effective June 1, 2013 are:

These rates are for two persons. For additional guests (up to a maximum of 4), add $10 per night per person. To all reservations, add $95 check-in cleaning plus Hawaii occupancy tax of 13.42%. There's no resort fee, and no charge for parking or for your room safe.
PRICE GUARANTEE – once you book your reservation, your rate is guaranteed, even if prices later go up! And, if your plans change, you can cancel with only a $50 fee up to 60 days ahead, except Christmas and New Years.
ATTRACTIONS. If you tire of swimming, snorkeling and sunning, other activities are nearby. A long sandy public beach at Napili Bay is 5 minutes walk. The Gazebo Restaurant with its famous Macadamia Pancakes is just as close. And if you don't feel like driving or walking the half mile to the 'big' grocery (Napili Market), there's a small grocery (Napili General Store) and snorkel shop (Snorkel Bob’s) just 7 minutes walk away.
Of course, you will want to use your rental car to enjoy Maui's many attractions. Active guests may enjoy the Kapalua and Kaanapali championship golf courses, tennis courts, biking and hiking, snorkel and scuba, ocean fishing, horseback riding, zipline adventures, challenging surfing (visible from your lanai!) and more. Those who prefer to relax will find good shopping in Lahaina (don't miss the free shows at Lahaina Cannery Mall put on by the children's hula classes), the famous Hana Drive, the Maui Ocean Center (aquarium), Iao Needle state park and perhaps a whale watching trip (in season) with Pacific Whale Foundation.

The Cove is a friendly place, with many regular guests, and many new guests too. Every Wednesday we organize a 'pupu party' with appetizers brought by those who wish to participate. It's a great way to meet new friends and feel part of the Honokeana Cove 'family'. But no one will mind if you just want to be on your own and relax - it's completely up to you.

We live in Southeast Michigan and have roots in Southern California and the New York City area. Now we are retired; previously, Art was a research lab director and Nola worked at General Motors. Our neighbors in Malibu had been coming to Honokeana Cove for many years and they persuaded us to give it a try. We loved it immediately! Nicer and more personal than the big resort hotels where we used to vacation. Instead of a mile walk from the parking lot and a mile walk down the hall to your room, at the Cove we can walk off our lanai and we’re “right there” – into the swimming pool, or into the ocean. We love the Napili area for its low-rise, “Old Hawaii” feeling, and we love Honokeana Cove for its small size, its friendliness, and its superbly landscaped grounds. When Unit 114 became available, we immediately wanted to buy it. Why? Because it’s on the ground floor, you can use your lanai as your “front door”, so you’re not always running up and down stairs. Because it’s centrally located, facing West, with a completely unobstructed view of lawn, pool, Cove and sunsets. And because it’s in the center building, which gets sun and afternoon breezes. We remodeled the kitchen and bath in 2013 and you will find the condo crisp and clean, with sparkling tile and stone, plus Hawaiian fabrics and prints. There's a big ceramic turtle on the wall of our lanai, in honor of the even bigger ones that live in the Cove.
Napili is a great location when visiting Maui, the most beautiful of all the Hawaiian islands. It’s a 7 minute drive to the West Maui airport (JHM), or you can also fly in and out of the “big” airport in Kahului (OGG), 55 minutes away. Napili is a quiet location between the big resorts of Kaanapali and Kapalua. You can easily get to those places when you want to shop, play golf or tennis, or visit a special restaurant, but you don’t have to put up with their crowds the rest of the time. Honolua Bay, D T Fleming beach, and the uncrowded northwest coast are just minutes to the north. Lahaina Town, with its bustle and excitement, is just as close to the south.
And in all of Napili, we believe that Honokeana Cove is the very best spot! It is a small gated compound of 38 low-rise units gathered around a private cove. The Cove has wonderful snorkeling, with tropical fish, coral gardens and plenty of giant Sea Turtles. Just outside the Cove, visible from your lanai, is one of West Maui’s top surfing spots, where you will see local surfers showing their skills. And if you want a sandy beach for variety, Napili Bay, one of Maui’s most beautiful, is just 5 minutes walk (¼ mile) to the north.
