We, like most rental properties rent starting on a Saturday and ending on a Saturday. Please plan accordingly.
We are located at 2713 Asbury Avenue, often referred to as the Gold Coast.
Ocean City is a great family vacation spot. Our children grew up there. Its' a short walk to the beach. Kessel's -a favorite for ice cream, burgers and basics- is just down the street. Dot's bakery is on 30th and Asbury. We are a few steps up from ground level so it is easy on the knees. The great room has a kitchen, living, dining area with entertainment console. The 9 foot ceilings in the great room create spacious feeling. Every room has a ceiling fan to aid the sea breeze circulate when the windows are open. There are lots of windows and sliding doors to capture the ocean breeze. The condo has double entry French doors to the first floor porch leading to steps to the sidewalk. The double doors open to the front deck for watching the sun set. The floors are polished red oak in great room and hallway. The bed rooms are carpeted. The kitchen is Shaker style in maple with stunning siena bordeaux granite countertops. The G.E. Profile stainless steel refrigerator has french doors with freezer on bottom. The fridge has a filtered cold water dispenser.
After your day at the beach, you can rinse off in your own cabana on the side of the building.
We have a full size front loading washer and dryer in the condo. Additional closet space is available in the hallway. The garage is included in the rent. You have direct access from the garage to the staircase that leads to your condo.
The rear deck faces the morning sun and is shaded by the second floor deck as sun sets over Asbury Avenue. We have an unusually large rear deck for new construction which is 10 feet by 20 feet. (We went to the zoning board etc) The deck is lit for summer evenings.
The master rear bedroom has a 'bump out' with windows and a sliding door to the rear deck. The master bathroom is terra cotta tiled with sea mist glass accents and carrera marble counter tops. The shower has a Grohe rain shower plus a hand held shower head. The second rear bedroom also has sliding door access to the deck. Both rear bedrooms have queen beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds. The common bath room motif is seaside green glass bubble accents with white tile, carrera vanity countertop and a tub for the kids. Our attention to detail extended to adding extra sound insulation in the walls of the condo.
We can be reached easily by either the 9th street bridge when exiting the first exit for Ocean City from the Garden State Parway (exit 30) or the second exit for Ocean City (exit 25) fo the 34th street bridge.

We are Jackie and David Kaplan. After spending 30 summer vacations at the shore Jackie got to build her dream house. We spent the 2010 season with architects, zoning boards, granite yards, kitchen manufacturers, etc to open in March of 2011. Jackie loves clean contemporary lines with a splash of color. Her attention to detail is amazing. We have the good fortune that Jackie's brother is an architect who helped supervise our project. He added many details for a quality feel and ambiance resulting in a well finished building. We travel often and but every year is an Ocean City year.
Jackie's parents bought the property in the 1980's. We always used it for our summer vacation week. Jackie loves the ocean. We had the opportunity to upgrade the property on 2009, hence the grand project. Jackie goes for an early morning walk, going south to the 58th street end of the island every day. For beach lovers the best three mile beach walk is to the south end of the island to Corsen's Inlet or three miles north which includes boardwalk and beach. We are a short walk to the start of the board walk where we can enjoy our board walk favorites. I usually go for a bike ride in the morning. You can go from Ocean City, to Strathmere, Sea Isle, Avalon and then Stone Harbor for a morning ride depending how ambitious you are. We are looking forward to spending many summer days there.
One of the unique benefits of our condo is the large back porch. We've seen many new construction condo's and the back porch barely holds a chair. Since we were builder/owners we went to the zoning board for a variance for the porch. Only motivated owners will get a variance which is why builder's speck houses have small decks. It may not seem like much but with the large deck the kids can go out on the deck after a sunny day at the beach, play in the shade, be safe and not wander off.
