Beautiful and hospitable

My wife and I stayed over Memorial Day weekend with our 70 lb dog and had a great time. Ray and Laura greeted us upon our arrival and then retreated for our privacy. It was unseasonably cold but they had the fireplace stocked and ready to go, for some warm and cozy time after a long drive. Our second day there brought the kind of warm, sunny, beautiful weather we expected and the cabin was equally comfortable for that as well. The property is very secluded and scenic for a short hike around, including a nearby stream for the water-inclined. We saw two rabbits, three chameleons, and plenty of birds. We drove to Sonoma Sunday morning and came back in the evening from Napa/St. Helena with minimal traffic--something we had been concerned about. We enjoyed the rotating library (give a book, take a book). There was no TV, which was great, and we listened to the radio. The cabin was fully stocked with pots and pans, stove, etc for easy cooking. With an extra bedroom, it was a little larger than we needed for the 2.5 of us, but still worth the price of admission!
