We chose this unit after looking at most of the condo developments on or close to the beach in Playa Del Carmen. My wife and I were wanting to rent a condo or house. We had another couple joining us so this 2 bedroom, 2 bath met our needs. We decided on this unit due to the good reviews, the location as well as getting a very good rate through Greg. This development is nicely designed, furnished well and located within walking distance of all of 5th Ave. The management team was very responsive though I will say we are fairly low maintenance travelers. The management team and security personnel almost all spoke english well. Prior to leaving we had heard of some issues with loud music at night from the surrounding open air bars. This may very well be a huge issue for those seeking peace and quiet but I can honestly say it was not a big deal for us. We turned the A/C fan switch on at night and this muffled the noise enough that it was not so bothersome. I also understand management is attempting to resolve this issue through various means. Beyond this issue everything was as good or better than anticipated. This unit is not right on the beach (we knew that) but has a very nice heated pool and jacuzzi that we mostly had to ourselves. In some ways the location of this particular condo is better than those in the Oceanside portion of the development, particularly if you desire a little privacy. The beach is only steps away. The patio area was a real treat and having the ability to have other friends who were in the area come visit us at the condo was a big bonus. The house keeper also did an excellent job. We used the associated beach club several times and were pleased with the offerings and service. For those wishing to experience Playa Del Carmen on there own without the encumberance of an all inclusive I highly recommend El Taj and in particular condo 305. Greg was easy to work with, gave us a great rate and even followed up with me after the trip was over to see how things went. I highly recommend this unit and will stay there again if the opportunity arises.

What a find. My wife and I usually go the “all inclusive” route but I’m so glad we found Gregg's place. We came down with another couple and were surprised how big the condo is. First class. It has a wonderful little patio where you an soak in the views and really unwind. The restaurants nearby were a nice surprise, lots of really great places, not like the tourist spots in Cancun at all. Whoever built this El Taj is a real designer. Every detail is perfect from the landscaping to the sculptures from Indonesia.

We have been to Playa many times over the past 12years, but this was our first time at the Taj. My husband and sons stayed for one week and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is well designed and confortable. We made use of both pools, the jacuzzi, Indigo Beach, the concierge, etc. All staff were very helpful and friendly. My boys loved the pools and we enjoyed having the extra bedroom for them, as well as a washer/dryer on site. The location is great, between the beach and 5th Avenida. We were given a list of recommended restaurants, which gave us some new ideas. We will definitely stay at the Taj again!

We have be to Playa many times, and have always rented Condo's. This was by far the best experience. Gregg was so easy to deal with--the condo is tastefully decorated ,very large, and directly across from the beach, the cleaning staff was excellent, the front desk (open 24 hours) was helpful and spoke perfect english. we will be returning.

My partner and I just returned from two weeks in Playa del Carmen. We loved El Taj beachside - what a wonderful condo and setting. The condo was great, the staff was terrific, and the beach club was an easy minute walk from from El Taj Beachside ... we spent every day on the beach relaxing. Greg (the owner) made the process very easy. We hope to come back soon!

I am writing you to tell you what an amazing time I had at El Taj 305 last week. I took advantage of all amenities including the underground parking, beach club and access to The Gym. Your condo would be spacious enough for my family of 5 (too bad it is not available when we will be there at the end of winter). Not only was I close to the beach, but also to the great restaurants on 5th and a very easy walk to Mega for food and supplies. Your place is perfect compared to many other condos our family has stayed at – it is very family friendly with no small things lying round for kids to get into. Can’t wait to go back.

We just spent a fabulous week in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, at the El Taj Beachside Condo Hotel. The spacious apartment was tastefully furnished and it had all the conveniences one could hope for (WIFI internet, W/D, CATV, a fully-stocked kitchen with filtered water, maid service, etc). The bathrooms did not have bathtubs, but the showers were over-sized and that was okay with us. Each bedroom had its own safety deposit box and flat screen TV which was handy since we shared the apartment with another couple. We very much enjoyed having drinks on the veranda overlooking the complex' pool and jacuzzi. The pool was in a jungle-like setting with lush vegetation; when swimming there it was hard to believe that one was right smack in the middle of downtown Playa. The rent included access to a full-featured gym (located about two blocks away) and the club house on the beach. Restaurants and shops on Quinta Avenida were just minutes away. We can easily see ourselves going back; it is the nicest apartment complex we have ever stayed at. For completeness we also need to note the following: (1) the white curtains in the bedrooms did not keep out the morning sun so sensitive souls should bring eye shades, (2) also remember to bring shampoo as none was provided.

I stayed in the unit 305 in the El Taj beach resort! and we just loved it! the unit has everything you need and even more! the service is excellent! we were just two steps from the beach and two steps from the downtown!, so I couldnt ask for more!! We will come back soon!
