Exactly what we were hoping for!

Renting this condo was our first experience with Vacation Rental By Owner. Working with Martha was a dream. She answered all our questions before we chose to rent, got back with us as we had additional questions and she sent us all instructions (well outlined) for easy access to the condo and the amenities within the condo and the complex.
The condo is located in a lovely, gated community. All the listing descriptions are accurate and the pictures included of the condo are exact. The condo is well maintained, very clean and beautifully decorated.
My husband and I love walking so the walking path (app. 1/2 mile) from the condo to the beach was something we enjoyed every day of our stay. The walk includes a picturesque walk through the St. Regis golf course and then a spectacular view of the ocean. We also enjoyed walking down to the beach in the evenings to catch the spectacular sunsets. Don't forget to check out the tide pools nestled within the large rocks along the beach. Young and old will be fascinated!
We found Dana Point to be an easy community to drive in and the condo is located near grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and the beach.
The restaurants we enjoyed in Dana Piont were RJ's for breakfast and lunch. We recommend Turks down along the harbor for the best clam chowder--ever.
Dana Point is close to and is an easy drive to San Juan Capistrano. We enjoy history and recommend the tour of the mission along with a self guided tour of the many historical buildings in the same area as the mision. The mexican food was delicious at El Dobe.
We also enjoyed a day in San Clemente which is also very close to Dana Point. In San Clemente we enjoyed the pier with a lovely lunch on the pier at Fisherman's Restaurant and then enjoyed shopping in the historical district.
Our vacation in Dana Point at this lovely condo is one that we will remember for years to come. We would easily recommend this location to friends and relatives who would like to enjoy the beach and all of Orange County, California.

Great place to stay!

This condo is in a quiet, gated community and was exactly as pictured on the VRBO sight. It was very comfortable and had more than enough room for the three of us. Everything was spotless when we arrived. It had everything we needed for cooking - nice appliances, dishes, pots and pans, etc. My husband and came to Dana Point to visit our son who is stationed at Camp Pendleton. It was so handy having the grill on the patio just outside the living room. Our son was able to visit us and enjoy some of his dad's grilled dinners. He also stayed with us on the weekend and used the electric airbed. There were plenty of towels and lots of bedding for our week stay.
This rental is close to lots of attractions. We drove up the coast and toured the Hearst Castle and enjoyed the elephant seals near San Simeon. The scenery was breathtaking north of L.A. We also enjoyed a whale watching tour (Dana Wharf) and went to the Scripps Aquarium (impressive). There are lots of nice beaches in the area and we also drove south to La Jolla and stopped in several towns north and south of Dana Point.
The pool and hot tub are just around the corner from this condo and we did use them a few times in between our sightseeing. We were the only ones using them. It was really nice having a washer and drier to use also.
Martha was very nice to work with. She was so friendly and also very prompt in answering my questions. I would recommend this condo; it was so much nicer than being cramped in a motel room.

Great Stay...

I would like to start by saying Martha ( the owner ) is one of the kindest and most generous people I have met in my 10 years of stay in CA!
The unit is beautiful and clean. No smell which was very important for my mother who is a cancer survivor.
The location is Great!!! It is very safe and I would certainly rent it for my family again...
I am a very picky person when it comes to staying elsewhere but it certainly exceeded my expectations.

This condo is a quick drive or scenic walk from the beach. It's in a quiet spot within the complex and feels very private. All of the furnishings are of high quality and very comfortable! It's beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. My husband and I will likely stay here again next year and have already recommended the unit to relatives.

My husband, daugher and I rented the condo for the 4th of July week. It was our 1st trip to California and it will not be our last. The condo was well equipped, and clean! The bedroom and walk in closet are large, there was enough room for all 3 wardrobes to be hung, they even provided a shoe tree and hamper. As there is only one bedroom, our daugher slept on an air mattress (provided by the owners) so it worked perfectly for the 3 of us. The condo description and photographs accuratley reflect the property's appearance & amenities. The location was fabulous! We planned trips every day (San Diego, Camp Pendelton, Anaheim, Los Angeles) and the condo was easy to get to fom both I-5 and the Pacific Coast highway. We loved the beach that was 5 minutes away!! Shopping & grocery stores (Ralphs/Trader Joes) were very convenient to get to ~ a 5-7 minute drive. We did not get to use the pool, but it looked clean and very relaxing. We did use the condo beach chairs and beach towels, as we visited many of OC's fabulous beaches. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and had a great time eating on the patio. My son visited from Camp Pendelton and it was nice being able to cook for him and eat together as a family. I would absolutely recommend this property to others!!

Felt just like home

I needed a long term rental while my home was being worked on and I absolutely loved my stay in this cozy condo! It was very nicely furnished, very clean and very comfortable. It had everything that I needed right down to the beach towels in the laundry room! The property grounds are lovely and the pool was heated! The owner was extremely accommodating and promptly returned my deposit. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything Martha!

Everything about this lovely beach condo made our family vacation to Orange County wonderful! The location can't be beat with walking distance to two 5-star hotels, not to mention the prettiest beach in southern CA (Salt Creek). The condo itself has EVERYTHING you could possibly need--beach chairs, umbrella, a secluded patio, comfortable modern/beachy style, two TV's, tons of storage, etc. The kitchen is the icing on the cake; there is every appliance needed, even a blender for margaritas. With a Trader Joe's nearby, it is a cook's dream.
There is no need to search for hotels when traveling to OC--this luxurious condo simply can't be beat!

We have just spent three months in this lovely condo, and we loved it! The property was Clean, well appointed and in the middle of a wonderful upscale neighbourhood. There are so many places to walk to and enjoy the fresh air, the ocean, and nature. We also liked the proximity of many marvelous restaurants and short driving distances to the Malls and boutiques. The owner was a pleasure to work with, and we are looking forward to coming back again!

My husband and I are traveling grandparents. We prefer to stay in condos rather than hotels. We are sometimes dismayed upon check-in. Not so in this case. We spent two weeks in this clean and comfortable condo. Kitchen was well equipped. Nicely decorated in upscale and conveniently located neighborhood. The owners were easy to work with.

Central location for my OC vacation

This property is located in the up-scale gated community of Ritz Point that is over-looking the St. Regis. A first floor condo property that has been tastefully renovated & neatly maintained in a trend-on interior featuring bamboo flooring, black granite counter tops & maple cabinetry. Kitchen was well stocked with a dining area and a patio eating area with a barbecue. A roomy one bedroom/one smaller bath. Walking access via the St. Regis and lovely, expansive city park to Monarch Bay Beach & adjacent Ritz Carlton.
Owners were helpful & responsive. Shopping center @ Niguel Rd & PCH w. Starbuck's, Gelson's Supermarket, and Salt Creek Grille. Close proximity to the artsy, quaint Laguna Beach to the north and the Dana Point Marina to the south, easily accessible to the PCH. A good vacation dollar value in location and in quality of property.
