Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Located in the heart of historic Chester County, few locations in the United States offer so many things to see and do. Creations of man and nature abound, most less than an hour’s drive. The rental is a renovated sculpture’s studio in the historic village of Yellow Springs; circa 1720 mineral springs surrounded by over 250 acres of private land. Enjoy gourmet dining, tennis and world-class shopping nearby. Chester County is celebrated for its beauty, historic significance and the general sophistication of its inhabitants. In the 90’s it was listed as one of the top ten places to live in the United States. Fox Hunts, carriages and hot air balloons are just a few common sights.

The Rental Studio is located in Historic Yellow Springs on a village lot shared with a main house. There is approximately 1000 sq.ft. of floor space consisting of Italian tiled bath & granite countered kitchen, cathedral ceiling living room with sofa bed and queen bed in a second-floor loft bedroom.

Stroll down the country road frequented by bicyclists, joggers and other outdoor enthusiasts.

About Chris Peeples

I was born on a 1797 farm between the historic villages of Kimberton and Chester Springs. Surrounded by two-thousand acres, the farm was instrumental in starting my home-grown business - Vixen Hill (farm) Mfg. Co., now a world supplier of cedar gazebos, shutters, pavilions and 3-season modular porch systems. A porch system and shutters appear on the farm VRBO rental in Chester Springs #197851. I am an avid supporter of open space & historic places believing in leaving a minimal earthly footprint.

Chris Peeples purchased this cottage in 1980
Why Chris Peeples chose Chester Springs

My children were born on a property within the nearby village of Yellow Springs. I've rented the main house and artist's studio since 1995 when I moved with my family back to the family farm. There were so many fond memories of life in the village that I've kept it as a possible place for future retirement. The newly renovated studio with it's vaulted ceiling and balcony bedroom make a perfect place to escape for a romantic weekend.

What makes this cottage unique

Unique benefits of the the 'Village' include ice cream Sundays, horse & carriages, various spa buildings to explore, museum, art lessons, library, walking paths, summer concerts, art shows, restaurant/catering, and historic ruins. There's the 'Hallman's corner store', Kimberton Bistro, gristmill, local whole-foods store and over 20 quality restaurants within a ten minute drive. And, the general population is intelligent, above average people with something to say. What else could you want?

This cute cottage was just the thing for us. It was a great get -a-way. It was charming and updated. I loved the new kitchen.
It was a cold weekend, it even snowed. One side of the cottage wasn't finished and it felt drafty and cold. The bathroom was newly tiled and looked great too, but the shower was cold then hot then cold again. So I hope the fix the water heater soon. They said they would :) I would definitely recommend this to others wanting a quiet secluded place. It was in a quaint little village, yet so close to restaurants, outlet malls, and historical venus. I would definitely go again!

This cottage was perfect for my family! After a long day of sight-seeing or canoeing, we were able to return to this lovely cottage where we could relax. We felt safe and it was really awesome to stay in the heart of so much history. If we are ever back this way, we would stay here again!!!
