excellent central location

Stayed in the Capel st apartments for 1 week. The apartment was very centrally located, only 5 mins walk to henry st (shopping high st) and O Connell st and all tourist attractions. it was so handy to have a tesco supermarket so close by too.
The apartment we had was really big(no3) two bedrooms, with big double beds. separate kitchen/sitting room, which had big fridge/freezer, cooker/oven microwave, all cooking equip was provided too. Places we stayed in before gave you very basic. The bathroom is huge, big Jacuzzi, perfect for a romantic night in. big shower, I even loved the touch of the bidet ( you don't seem them often in Ireland)
Capel st is a great location, it is close to the airport buses, taxi rank across the street also capel st has lots of restaurants and bars, and runs directly onto parliament st which has loads more restaurants too.
The kingfisher restaurant which a part of the Apartments (5min walk) is a great fish restaurant, really great menu.
we really had such a great time staying dublin and will def be back to stay with the kingfisher again. You could really tell it was a family run place, that extra bit of irish hospitality went along way.
Thanks for making our stay really enjoyable

Very comfortable apartment, located just a short walk from Mary Street shopping, Temple Bar and medieval area. Online description is accurate. Property was clean and well-maintained. Ana-Maria (manager) was available and helpful at all times. Highly recommended.

Great location, but not exactly what I expected

We spent 4 nights at the apartment, and I'd like to say first off that the location really can't be beat. That in and of itself made the apartment worth the price we paid. It's about 30 feet from a shopping mall, and has two grocery stores within walking distance. It's also very close to the AirLink stop, so getting to and from the airport was very simple.

Upon arrival to the apartment, the first thing I noticed was that it was not the aprtment pictured in the ad I responded to, and not the apartment pictured in the review link sent to me. In all honesty, I found the apartment to be a little shabby. The bed that I slept in had a pretty large stain on the underside of it. It looked to be coffee, but I don't know for sure. The sheets also seemed to be a little on the older side, and they were a bit pilled.

The living room was small and tidy, as was the kitchen. The dining area had a nice big table with a bench seat, which also was stained.

Overall, we had a fabulous time in Dublin and though the apartment was not exactly what I expected it to be, it served it purpose. The staff at the Kingfisher were all very helpful, and addressed and questions I had immediately and in a friendly manner. I do think I would use this service again, but would make sure that I was getting what was advertised.

Not exactly as expected

Dublin City Apartments has several websites out there so I received conflicting information as to the accommodations. The apartment itself was clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the location was central to all of Dublin's top sites. However, as the last poster stated, there is no electric dryer, only a drying rack. Also, the kitchen isn't well equipped to make much more than sandwiches and cereal (one small pot, one pan, no trash bags or kitchen towels to clean up after oneself). Further, the noise along the street can keep light sleepers awake all night as the windows are very thin (even on the 5th floor). A previous reviewer stated that a staff member took the time to explain everything about the apartment, but I'm afraid we didn't receive the same courtesy. We were handed the key and he left immediately. I think my expectations were too high for this apartment and I was a little disappointed, even after trying to reconcile some of my complaints with the staff. Maybe some of it is cultural differences.

This apartment was nicely located & clean. We were very comfortable & the Kingfisher desk people were really available & helpful. The only down side was very small, really, & largely due to my own lack of understanding (so to speak!) There is a nice washing machine, but the dryer was a drying rack! Needless to say, I had to wear still-slightly-damp pants the next day as we got to the apartment at the latter half of our trip where I was planning on doing laundry. Still, not a big deal & with better planning on my part it wouldn't have been even a little problem.

A Great Central Location

We were in Dublin for ten days and on a budget so we looked at apartments instead of hotels. The apartment was blocks from the city center and the bus lines, so we were able to get along well without a car rental for several days and were able to park in a very secure garage when we did rent one for out of town travel. The space had the family area (kitchen, bath, sitting area) separated from the sleeping rooms by an interior hallway and doors, so the night owls didn't keep others from resting. The kitchen allowed us to enjoy meals at home and save significantly since we did not need to eat out each day. The owners were very accommodating and helpful.

Great location, fun city

Was our first time to Ireland so didn't know what to expect. We normally stay in hotels but our friends told us about this website that catered to self service apartments so we figured we'd give it a shot. Went onto their website and not being that 'IT' literate, i actually found it very easy to use which was great. Booked into one of their apartments in a Georgian building and it was completely what we wanted and expected. The apartment was spacious, clean and most importantly the beds were comfortable! There was wifi in the apartment and the guy who checked us in explained everything throughly before handing over the keys. I did think the key he gave us was a bit chunky as it was one of those old school ones, but i guess it kept in style with the building!

At the end of the day the best way to experience the city is to go about like a local and staying in an apartment made this experience as we stayed right in the heart of the city!!

Stayed in Capel street recently and was surprised how clean and central the apartment was.I stayed with two friends and we took a spacious two bedroom apartment for 6 days, had early check-in and followed instructions to close-by key pick-up reception, kingfisher townhouse. Was greeted warmly and the guy showed us to the apartment which was about a five minute walk away.
Building is beautiful with both history & modern feel.Everything we needed was available, fridge, plasma tv with Dvd player.
Get place to relax and see the city. When I next go back to Dublin,I'll book my flights around apartment being available.
you won't be disappointed.

Stayed in the self-catering apartment with family recently and had a super time, well supplied kitchen with everything needed (pot's etc) to cook up a decent fry and tasty dinner.Close to Henry street, about 2 minutes walk ,which is full of shops and restaurants, super city center pad which I highly recommend to any one, wanting to be inside Dublin city center and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere and be in a secure and quiet location just minutes from everything decent worth seeing.
