The location was very good and the overall size of the apartment was quite good. Our only real concern was that we were not able to control the temperature of the heater, as advised by the manager so we absolutely roasted during our stay. Maybe this has been fixed by now. We did have fans in each room but they did very little to cool us down. We had to leave the front door open when we were in for the night but that proved to be very noisy as the apartment was situated on a busy road. The apartment was cleaned to an acceptable standard. All in all I would recommend this apartment as it was very close to public transport and there were many restaurants and cafes in walking distance.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review on HomeAway.com and recommendation of our property to other travelers.
As located on the Westcoast & surrounded by the water in downtown Vancouver, our weather pattern is overally mild year round and most condos are not air-conditioned. However, it can sometimes get a bit hot inside of our townhouse in certain weeks of the year. With some of the windows left open during the day, it gets cool down by later of the afternoon and you can spend the evening time without the windows open, away from the noise of the street, and enjoy a quiet & pleasant evening time.
During your one week stay in our townhome, there're unfortunately some building window works in process and as a result your windows were closed even during the day. I'm sorry that you felt toasted with the warm temperature and I should have cautioned you ahead of time. We did look into the possibility of putting air conditioning inside of the townhome but it wasn't possible. The window works have now completed. This provided all units in the building with an updated protection from the weather and sound, which I'm sure is beneficial to our future travelers.
We'll certainly keep up with maintenance of our unit, specially in the slower time of the next few weeks. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and review and look forward to hosting you again in the future.
