We couldn't have picked a better home to stay in for our trip to the Mendocino area! The views are amazing from almost any window. Two of the bedrooms have windows facing the ocean, it was wonderful to wake up and gently glide into the day watching the waves come crashing in. The kitchen (as well as the entire house) had everything one would need to cook a full meal or go about daily life. No need to pack heavy - this place has it all covered.

It is conveniently located by the town of Fort Bragg, which has plenty of good restaurants as well as a superb natural foods market. David's Deli, Silvers at The Wharf and North Coast Brewing Co were our favorites. The towns of Caspar and Mendocino are close by as well as a few state parks and beaches. We visited the glass beach in Fort Bragg and went to see the seals at MacKerricher State Park - it was quite an experience. There is plenty to do if you can pry yourself away from the hot tub!

Our only warning is that this home's water comes from a well. Conservation is key so don't plan on coming to do your laundry and taking luxuriously long showers. Probably not a big concern for most, we were coming from Yosemite and had a bunch of laundry to do so that was wrench in our plans. There is a laundromat in town if you find yourself in the same predicament.

What a wonderful rustic house with the most incredible views of the ocean. The updates in the kitchen are very nice & everything that anyone would need; well done! We have stayed in other homes over on the coast & this now has become our favorite. Plus the privacy being on 2 acres is great! Can't beat sitting in the hot tub & looking out at the ocean; very special! It was nice to be able to walk down to the Botanical Gardens & see all the nice garden items they have there plus some great plants. I even got an ice cream there which was a treat. Pat was very nice to work with & we thank her & her husband for sharing this very special comfortable home with the spectacular views of the ocean. Enjoy!

Location, Location, Location! Spent the weekend with 5 other friends. All of us are from the Central Valley…….so spending a few days on the rugged North coast while it was 100 DEGRESS back home was a treat. Tideaway was incredibly comfortable while having every amenity one could want. Close to downtown but far enough from hearing nothing but seagulls and the waves crashing right below us. The views were incredible and would highly recommend Tideaway to anyone……can’t wait to come back!!!

Our group of six could not have been more impressed the instant we set foot in the Tideaway. We had so much fun that everyone is yelling at me about having to leave now in order to catch our flight back to hot & humid Wisconsin. I apologize for having so much fun that I forgot to budget time to write this journal entry. OK now they’re honking the horn. Bye

This was an amazing weekend. As soon as I pulled up to the house I knew it was going to be a fabulous spot. The view is gorgeous and the girls and I truly appreciated the peacefulness of this magical place.
We sat and enjoyed breakfast on the deck and stayed there for hours enjoying the view. The hot tub was the perfect place for watching the sunset.
The furniture was super comfy and the kitchen has everything we needed to make all of our meals.
