Listing description and pictures are accurate. Owner is helpful and honest. I would recommend to friend or relative. Minutes walk to anywhere in Kaanapali and great access to beaches and dinning both north and south of the property. Unfortunately we walked into the condo with stripped beds and the rooms a mess. There was a mix up in communication with maintenance person who apologized and did her best to get the condo ready. We lost a half-day waiting for the condo to be ready and found no beach towels as described. So waiting by the pool while the condo was being worked on was kind of a joke. We made the best of the situation and enjoyed ourselves. Still a value compared to other condos in same complex. And maintenance mix-up seems to be a fluke.

We had an AMAZING time at this condo! It's very spacious, clean, and quiet, with modern appliances and furnishings. The best part of it was the large balcony with doors that opened all the way - incredible! I've never seen anything like that. The breeze was so nice, we hardly had the a/c on. It was so peaceful and quiet, not too crowded and noisy.
The owner is easy to work with and answers questions promptly. The pictures and the description in the listing are accurate. There wasn't anything negative we could say about this condo. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My family just returned from an 8 night stay at Andrew's condo at Honua Kai. The condo was immaculate when we arrived and seemed much bigger than the pictures. The view from the balcony was fantastic, and again, seemed much better than the pictures. The rental process was very easy, and the local contact person, Michelle, was very helpful and friendly. We arranged for a crib rental (and a couple of other items) for our baby; the rental company contacted Michelle and everything had been delivered when we arrived. The condo is very well appointed; the beds/bedding were especially luxurious.

The grounds/pools/lobby at Honua Kai are awesome; it is definitely a high end resort. The beach in front of the resort has some coral, but it was not a problem. In fact, we found the snorkeling to be quite good. The surf was very calm and was perfect for our 20 month old. The pools were amazing. We went to Duke's for a couple of meals. The food was OK/pretty good; the view/ambiance was great.

Overall, we loved our stay and could not recommend it any higher. We look forward to going back soon.

The condo is located on the 3rd floor on the inside of the 'original' bldg with a beautiful views of the ocean as well as one of the many pools and Duke's. We ate a few times at Duke's - breakfast and dinner. Prices are reasonable if you don't want to travel outside the hotel area and the food was pretty good. The views from Duke's are just as exceptional as from our room.
The beach/surf was great - calm and the sunsets are just breath taking. We brought our 3.5 y.o. & 13 yr old - they both had things to do at the resort - they both loved it and did not want to leave (as did we)!
The most amazing part of our trip was that at no one time could I count seeing 20 people in one area....the place was deserted!!! Our bellhop told us that September is usually a "slow" month, but we had almost all the pools to ourselves!!! It was absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to go back - especially in September!!
Andrew/crew has created his home as a home away from home! Everything that we needed was there and more - from chopsticks/hairdryers/salt&pepper/little things....we were so impressed!

I was a little hesitant renting accommodations through a website - but your condo turned out exactly as depicted on the website - my family of four were very pleased. We loved all of the amenities at the condo, however, we did not get a chance to try out Duke's. We did try out all the other restaurants that were recommended on the brochures. A little disappointed with Mala's.

My only other issue was with the cleaning service, they were not aware of our arrival and as such the condo was a little bit of a mess but they rectified the situation as soon as we called. Would love to stay there again. Thank you!

What an amazing place! Being brand new, Honua Kai is the place to come in Maui. There were very few people staying so we felt we had the place to ourselves. The resort staff was wonderful and always helpful although there was some confusion regarding parking. The local contact for this unit was wonderful and very helpful. The owners of the unit were very responsive and made everything easy. There is a nice store on site with wonderful coffee and gelato.

The unit was excellent. Beautiful views of the manicured grounds, pool, and ocean graced us every day. The tropical breezes on the lanai invited us to open the doors and spend lots of time outside (the lanai did get rather dusty each day from landscaping construction next door). The unit is much better than even the pictures can show. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked. The blender got plenty of use for frozen drinks! There are three flat screen TVs, comfortable beds, and large bathrooms. There were two nice boogie boards although summer surf at the site was very calm. Walking up and down the coast via the boardwalk was nice and it’s a short drive to many sites and stores. Once the entire complex construction is completed in the near future it will have a restaurant and amazing pools….it will be the premier site on Maui!

We rented snorkel gear and went snorkeling almost every day including at Honolua Bay, Black Rock, and Molokini Crater. But the best snorkeling of all was right at the condo site! It was easy to get in the water, the water was calm, the reefs extensive, and there was so much to see...in fact we saw turtles right at the site! There's never a dull moment in Maui and you can choose to just chill or engage in a variety of activities. We rented a motorcycle, went zip lining, shopped, visited several beaches, and took a sail on a catamaran.

We can't wait to return to Maui, Honua Kai, and this condo unit.

Our family of four, stayed here 2 weeks late July and enjoyed it emensely. The photos are accurate but don't incorporate all that this condo/resort has to offer. Soon the resort will open it's phase two and the large ohana pool with caves, lazy river, slides and waterfalls will be open. The owner and his local property manager were fabulous to work with. The property was new, clean, and the grounds are well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. Glass patio doors fold open like accordian so the whole expanse/ wall opens up. It is wonderful to have ocean view dining and sunsets every night. They had lots of hangars between 3 closets wich is an added plus. The owner provided small cooler, portable beach chairs, sand toys, basic snorkle gear, and two very nice boogie boards for guests to use. Since this area is still under construction the resort has some vacant land around it. We personally loved this as we felt we had the beach all to ourselves. Friends of ours were staying at one of Fodor's top ranked condo locations also on Ka'anapoli Beach. They came over to swim on the beach and grill out with us for the day and made the comment how much better our location/condo was. The I-pod docking station was great in kitchen area. We could play our own relaxing dinner music while we lesiurely cooked, sipped on wine, ate on lani and watched sun go down. Washer and dyer are stack set and smaller size, but work well so long as a person does not overfill. The cons definately don't override the pros of staying here. You might want to pay extra for housekeeping, the place is so new and with the construction nearby the lanai would get dusty. Despite the construction the room was quiet, no worries there, just be prepared to wipe table off on lanai and sweep dust from lanai floor. Also, the Resort is attempting to have owners rent through them instead of owner direct. Some services such as underground parking, beach towel exchange at the pool will not be readily available to an owner's guest. The parking is surface lot and very close. Owner provides some beach towels. As owner's guest, you can't really charge to your room like in hotel. No worries, they will gladly take cash or credit card for poolside happy hour. The grocery store is close but a stop at Costco near the airport will save money. The beach at property is good for swimming and snorkeling. Our favorite activities were snorkeling, hiking to waterfalls, the drive to Hana and surfing. Mahalo!
