I grew up spending summers in Rockport. A typical day was spent fishing, beach combing and exploring the nearby wildlife areas. Living in Houston, Texas for the past 25 yrs wanting to enhance our quality of life, I convinced my wife to buy the Channelview property as a weekend get away. It has been a wonderful way to get back to my roots with exceptional saltwater fishing and when in season some of the best duck hunting the U.S. Bird watching is another popular activitiy we have taken up. BTW The community is known nationally for outstanding bird watching and kayak fishing. To top things off we can have great Texas coast seafood prepared in a variety of ways by doing it yourself on the barby or going to one of many local resturants. I hope our guests can see the beauty of this Texas coastal community with its unique wind blown oak trees lining shores along Fulton and Rockport roads. It really is a wonderful thing to see.
Of all Texas gulf coast locations this is my favorite. It still has the small town look and feel. The gulf breeze is always present with the clean smell it brings. The bays around this pristine ecosystem are great for fishing and boating. If you don't fish you can just drive the bay side roads and take in the peaceful and pleasant views offered at every turn. I have always been in love with the Rockport area and will be happy to retire there someday.
