This beautifully newly decorated 3 bedroom, 2.25 bath, beach view home,'Mim's Whim' is a 2nd tier beach house located just a short distance from the water's edge across a lazy beach road.It is ideal for 2 couples and children or just for two! It offers a spacious floor plan with a very large master bedroom in addition to two other large bedrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with TV's & DVDs.The great room has a TV with surround sound theater system complete with an ipod dock. Internet, WiFi, Cable, Phone.

The kitchen, open to the great room and dining area, is fully equipped for your family gathering and features a large counter bar. Ten people can be seated for dining at the counter bar and dining table. We are so thrilled to have a vacation home in Ft. Morgan since Miriam grew up in Mississippi and spent many summers on the Gulf Coast as a child, While we were stationed at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi and England Air Force Base in Louisiana,we vacationed on the Gulf Coast many times and experienced a number of other areas. We believe Ft. Morgan is especially inviting with its laid back, family friendly feel and charm.

While visiting family in Fort Morgan,we fell in love with the area. Ft. Morgan is truly a unique beach destination with its colorful palette of eclectic beach homes positioned near the water. Some have described it as the 'last beach frontier' with its lack of commercialism, yet close proximity to shops, golf courses and restaurants. Its relaxed ambiance, lazy streets, and family friendly environment are reminiscent of simpler times. It is not unusual to see locals as well as visitors enjoying leisurely bike rides while watching wildlife or beach activities. Ft. Morgan is a charming,friendly community with a small town feel.

What makes this house unique

Our home provides a comfortable setting for family gatherings with its large rooms, ample storage and close proximity to the beach. Its fully equipped kitchen will meet your needs to prepare sumptuous meals using local fresh seafood found at nearby markets. But if you'd prefer to dine out, there are many excellent restaurants that you can experience listed for your convenience in our welcome book along with activities of interest and attractions in the area. This is our family's vacation home so we make every effort to maintain it in the best way possible to ensure it will be comfortable for us as well as our guests. We enjoy sharing it with others and doing what we can to help our guests have the best experience possible!

The perfect getaway at a great price! Mim’s Whim has everything you could need or want and clean! The view was great, saw a dolphin from the deck one morning. The rooms were set up so nice and the bed was comfortable; great mattress! It was furnished as you would want your own beach home. The beach was just a walk across the street. Grab the chairs provided and sit with your feet in the sand or enjoy the ocean from the deck. It was a wonderful place to spend our anniversary and I look forward to taking the family next time. Even a “welcome book” to help you find anything you might need for your stay. We used it to plan where we wanted to eat. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely beach house with us and being such a joy to work with.

Mim's Whim is a beautiful place for a family vacation.The house exceeded our expectations and was very clean.. The house had everything we needed for our stay and the welcome book was very helpful and informative. We vacationed with our two teenagers and made many memories that will last a lifetime. The beach was nice and quiet and not crowded. We saw the dolphins just about every day.It is conveniently located just a short drive from Gulf Shores and Pensacola.Mim and Mason called to check and see how our stay was going and if there was anything we needed which was a nice personal touch . We are already planning our vacation for next year and plan on staying at Mim's Whim again. We would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to have a quiet,relaxing and memorable vacation.Our family hated to have to leave and can't wait to come back next year.

Mim's Whim was everything and more of what we were looking for in a winter getaway. From the tastefully decorated rooms and well supplied kitchen to the very helpful suggestion book we could really relax and thoroughly enjoy our stay. We could explore the gorgeous Fort Morgan/ Gulf Shores area but at the end of the day have a charming "homey" place to return to. Mim's Whim is where you want to stay if you want all the amenities of the larger beachfront homes without the price. The home is gorgeously decorated and fully stocked with everything you'll need to make a great vacation complete. It has an excellent floorplan and is all on one level which is very convenient. Only steps from the beach, we never had to pack up a cooler and lug it to the shore. For the fishermen, it is only 2 miles to the boat launch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return again.

We LOVED Mims Whim!! The house was exactly as expected (maybe even a little better) and had everything a person might need while staying away from home....definitely a "home away from home". The owners were very helpful, friendly, and easy to deal with. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on.....aside from the beach, that was the hardest thing to say goodbye to! I should also mention that the price was a steal considering the proximity to the beach. It was as close as you could be without actually being on the beach! We were 100% satisfied with Mim's Whim and would recommend it to anybody that wanted to stay in Fort Morgan!

Mim's Whim was such a great vacation home. We have rented vacation homes for years and this property and owners were by far the most responsive and caring that we have ever dealt with in our history. The owners were very respectful and truly concerned about your stay. The communication throughout the process was excellent. The home itself was in great shape, and our family loved the cleanliness, and close proximity to the beach. The Ft. Morgan area is very quiet and relaxing without the worry of the heavy traffic found in the Gulf Shores area. We highly recommend this property for your vacation stay!

We had a fantastic week.... Beautiful area and views. A great family area. Recommend to all. House was all that was described and better. The book was great for suggestions for dining. We visited Tanger Outlets, Gulf Shores stores, Fort Morgan, Jet skiing and lots of walking.. We enjoyed dining at Tacky jacks 2, The Oyster House, The Shrimp Basket, and great fresh seafood from Billy's. Thank you for the wonderful memories... Maybe another vacation in our future...

My family and I just returned from our stay at Mins Whim. We had the best time, and this house is perfect! Amazing views, on the beach, lots of room, and the owners are amazing to work with! The house was even better in person; the pictures don't do it justice! So clean and very warm and inviting. We felt right at home! Would not hesitate to stay again and plan to do so!

Well that was Fantastic !

With this being our first family trip to the beach (out of state, no less), I must say it was awesome! As soon as we got there, we unloaded and headed to the beach for a few hours. The fact that we could go on a Whim to the beach was awesome.

The small rain and potential rain around the corner, made the day perfect for sandcastle building as well as swimming in the ocean. It didn't hinder us at all. The Race Track was a lot of Fun. We went on a Date to Nolan's Steak House. THAT was great...

With the dollar store and gas station right up the street, it made it really great for getting those last minute items that we forgot at the store.

What a relaxing week, we had so much fun and now that we've gone, we talk about it and find out so many more people go here many times. I compare beach house prices and let me say that we got an awesome deal!!!! The price of these other places does not beat Mim's Whim!

I love love love this place! HIGHLY recommended.

Our family(2 adults and 2 children(3yo and 6yo)) had a great stay at Mim's Whim. The location in Fort Morgan area is very nice and quiet and peaceful. The beach is just across the street and we took advantage of that and most days of our stay and enjoyed the beach and gulf waters both in the mornings and evenings. The beach house is well equipped and comfortable. This was our first time to the Gulf Shores area but it won't be the last. Our first real family vacation was a big success in large part thanks to Mim's Whim.
