We have strongly relied on previous reviews in selecting Debora's unit for our recent month long stay; now I feel that others would also benefit form our experience. We had a fabulous stay! The description and the photos are absolutely accurate. While the property is small, it was very comfortable for both of us. Debora's attention to so many details makes her guests feel more like family than renters. Just as previous reviewers mentioned there is everything in the unit, from exotic spices to umbrellas, shampoos, etc. Debora called before our departure to make sure that we had all our questions fully answered, then followed up the next day to be sure that all was as expected. Also, Kathe, the Manager, was an absolute doll to work with. They were both very helpful in every way! The property is absolutely spotlessly clean, consequntly we saw no insects of any kind. We rented a car for only four days of our stay then we took advantage of the public transportation system. Taking "The Bus" #55 into Kaneohe and Honolulu very frequently worked out quite well. In the process we learned how to pronounce all those challenging local names, which are no longer as daunting. We wanted to avoid the craziness of Waikiki beach, and this property provided us with almost a private beach. The views are just as gorgeous as on the photos, and we have a multitude of wonderful pictures of sunrises - for sunset pictures we went to Sunset Beach.
We needed a kitchen due to our special dietary restrictions (Gluten Free and Low Sodium). We had no problem finding good quality fresh produce, more expensive that on the mainland, so we went to Chinatown and to the local Farmer's Market(in Kaneohe) as well as, to Costco in Honolulu and to Safeway, where I found frozen Gluten Free items. The building itself has an incredible location, with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other, the views are stunning! Having said all of that, Pat's at Punaluu, is an older building, the gym is rusty and has only three lonely little machines , but what was more annoying, was the septic sewer system right at the front of the elevators, which sometimes emitted unpleasant aromas.
All in all, not only do we strongly recommend this lovely unit, but would return to Debora's unit and recommend it to all who would like a quiet and beautiful Oahu getaway! Mahalo Debra, M & S, Chicago,IL
