A 'home' away from home can make all the difference in one's experience and La Casita contributed so much to my time in Albuquerque. The location was terrific - Passing through the neighborhood behind the house, there's a wonderful park with ponds - and access to a bike trail along the canal. And the house itself! the gardens! such creative use of available space - inside, the paintings, the furnishings, the general decor and details were so interesting, and extremely comfortable. Joseph and Bill were accommodating and always helpful. I'd love to stay again sometime and will certainly recommend La Casita to others.

It has been a great pleasure to stay in your beautiful casita! It has everything one could possibly want for a few days away. The house is enchanting and the garden is delightful - we particularly enjoyed the seating area by the pond; just watching the fish - listening to the waterfall is so relaxing!! Thank you for everything - hopefully one day we will be back.

Perfect Home Away from Home

La Casita was a case of love at first sight! The owners, Bill and Joseph, have created an adorable, cozy home for visitors that is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The artwork and knick-knacks are a charming, pleasing blend of pieces to give La Casita an early 20th-century period feel (the adobe cottage is over 100 years old). The koi pond, a very private outdoor sitting area, is an absolutely perfect place to have morning tea or coffee, to relax with a book, or to listen to and watch the finches and hummingbirds. The location, on the edge of downtown yet safe and serene, is an easy walk to Old Town and museums. And Monroe's, an ABQ institution across the street, serves tasty, inexpensive NM lunches and dinners. Any questions? Joseph and Bill live next door and are very knowledgeable about the ABQ area. If you visit La Casita, you won't want to leave!

I love waking to the chirping birds and the sound of the water fountain. My evening pleasure is a stroll through the neighborhood. Then . . . catching the few minutes of 'watermelon' color on the Sandias at sunset. Thank you for this ABQ sanctuary.

I was so lucky to have two nights here at your lovely casita. What a relaxing hide-away. It was a comfort to come back to this little house after attending a conference all day. This would be a wonderful base from which to do a SW tour. If I plan another trip to Albuquerque I'll be sure to check to see if there is room at La Casita. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A very cozy retreat - serene in the midst of "the world." Very enjoyable and would certainly come back. A "Four Seasons" place.

Thank you for providing the perfect place to stay while in Albuquerque! The charm and doziness of the casita was just what I was looking for. Enjoyed being within walking distance of Old Town - the whole experience while here was truly a blessing from God. I'm thankful to Him for letting me stay here! Hope to see you all again.
