Why Owner/Property Manager chose Ouray

We drove through Ouray in our motor home on a family vacation and fell in love with it's small town charm. Over the next few years all of our motor home trips seemed to somehow lead us through Ouray. We finally decided that we would love to have a place of our own in what we believe to be the most beautiful place in the entire state of Colorado

What makes this house unique

Our cabin is located at the end of a cul de sac in a residential neighborhood where the average lot size is about 2 acres. There is no noise from cars or anything else, just the sound of the wind blowing through the pines trees. Because of the tranquil setting wildlife such as deer, elk, wild turkeys, squirrels and birds can be seen at almost anytime.

Our family vacation was the best ever. The house was spectacular inside and out. Everything was clean and all appliances and electronics worked. The kids especially enjoyed the pool table and dart board. We grown ups appreciated the TVs in the bedroom for some alone time watching the Olympics! We had a 1 year old with us,so, it was a pleasant surprise to find a high-chair and toddler bed for him. The rooms were roomy and beds were comfortable. It was nice to have access to not only one washer and dryer but TWO! Towels and swim suits were washed and dried, daily...just like home.

The activities were a bit pricey for as many as we had in our party (12). Horse back riding which we really wanted to do was $40 an hour. We enjoyed the mineral pool and toured the mountains and surrounding mountain towns. It was a great vacation being able to bond and enjoy each others company.

It was well worth the money and I would recommend the lodge to friends and family. Thank you for providing the perfect place to spend family time.
