This house was a perfect place to celebrate a birthday with family and to have friends down for an afternoon and evening! The space accommodated our family of 10 quite comfortably, was close enough to the beach for the kids to walk down. We set up a tent and the kids spent hours digging in the sand and riding boogies boards. The house was close enough we could go back and forth to the beach. The beds were good - critical as far as I'm concerned. Our family would recommend this house and will definitely rent again!

We had such a great stay in this house! It has such a great floor plan. It's so spacious with a huge kitchen, breakfast area, and family room area. I really appreciated how new and clean it is. It has plenty of room for all types of ages. We stayed here with teenagers and they had tons of space to hang out. The yard was great for playing football and it was great to have the hammocks and the swings. It's a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is super nice. The owner, Stacey, was very friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you for letting us enjoy your place for the weekend!!

What a great place!! The owners are great as well!! (very accomodating) :) There were 8 of us (4 couples) and we each had our own space which was great and plenty of room for more. More than comfortable!! Huge kitchen which was awesome along with the big table on the deck which has views of the ocean. Can't wait to come back! Thanks again for sharing your lovely home!!

We had such a wonderful stay here! The house is lovely, with beautiful details throughout. There was plenty of space for all us to relax and watch movies in the evenings, chill in the hammock, or relax on the decks. The beach was a quick walk and it was so convenient to have provided beach chairs and boogie boards to take with us. Our daughter and her friend loved hearing the ice cream truck come around twice a day, too! We've rented other beach houses in Galveston in the past, but I can honestly say that this one has been our favorite, by far! Can't wait to go back...

This place was a much-needed oasis for our family of 4 and friends with a family of 5. I was afraid we would feel cramped vacationing together, but there was PLENTY of room for everyone to sleep, have privacy and even hang out in the same room and not be crowded! The living area and open kitchen was amazing and well-used. We did most of our eating "IN" and had the utensils and necessities to grill, cook and eat indoors or out. It is very nice but so comfortable that we were not worried about the kids damaging anything. Very "kid friendly." As previously stated, the photos do not do it justice. Stacy was very helpful with information about the area and overall just pleasant. We used every feature of the house from the outdoor shower to the grill, hammocks, swings, picnic table, decks, and everything inside as well. A couple of our favorite features were the swings and hammock for two - something we don't have at home and really didn't want to leave! We rode bikes down the beach, around the neighborhood, and to the convenience store. My husband even rode down the seawall and back. After driving all around the area, I am so glad we stayed here. It was more like being in a familiar neighborhood than a "vacation rental." Such a short walk to the beach, and the whole neighborhood was nice. I will not want to stay anywhere else in Galveston! The week days were much less busy for shopping and seawall activity. The weekend was CRAZY crowded near the seawall but GREAT down the beach near the house. We alternated "date nights" between us, and our restaurants of choice were Gaido's and The Original Mexican Cafe. Both great places. We visited the Strand and had ice cream at La Kings. Rode the ferry to Bolivar Island and back. Visited Sea Wolf Park. Bought kites at the Kite Shop which flew great at the beach! Shopped along seawall. Most fun we had was just hanging out at the beach and at the house. We went to the beach every evening to watch for critters, and the kids loved that too. My mother is fighting cancer, and this was just the break I needed before beginning the long days of caring for her, so this vacation came just in time. It was such a blessing to be able to rest and relax in preparation for the days ahead. Our families so enjoyed having the time to get away and just enjoy our friendships too. Rejuvenating! I had tears leaving and can't wait to go back! Thank you for sharing your home, Butlers!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house, we had lots of room to spread out and the house felt very comfortable. There was room for everyone on the couch and around the kitchen table. The house is updated and has the feeling of being brand new. In the evenings we enjoyed being downstairs and playing ladder ball in the yard and our teens liked laying on the hammock.
The beach was just a few minutes away and easy to walk back and forth, we drove down in the morning and put canapies up on the beach and enjoyed how cool it was in the shade. The beach was racked each morning so it was nice and clean.
We've stayed in Pirates Beach alot over the past 10 years, and this was one of my favorite homes. We are looking forward to coming back again.

What a wonderful stay at the beach with my family. The house is beautiful, much better than the photos. Must see in person to appreciate. House well laid out with a great floor plan. Views are superb as well. Furnishings were all nice with comfortable beds for a great night of sleep. The entire family had a great time. My husband and myself enjoyed the balcony while being able to watch our grand daughter play in the grass below. At night, we enjoyed the balcony from the master bedroom even moreso. Our older children (20+) drove a short distance to the seawall strip to enjoy an evening out filled with food and entertainment at "The Spot " where they ate on the 1st floor and went up for drinks and live music on the 2nd floor.

The entire house is well equip with what one may need to relax and kick your heels up; having additional towels, soap, margarita machine and even a baby crib if one would be needed. Enough space so everyone can have their own place for alone time if desired. The long balcony on the second floor extends from the master across to the two bedrooms located on that floor. The third floor has a great deal of space, housing three beds (one being that of a boat) with a full bath also. The master has a full bath and there is a second full bath on the second floor to accommodate the additional two bedrooms.

The main floor is inviting, warm and spaceous including a power room. The kitchen has the utensils, dishes and glasses one would require as well as a dishwasher. We made use of the outdoor shower on the patio to rinse off any sand before walking upstairs into the house. The distance to the beach is approximately two blocks, however, one wouldn't even notice since we were able to walk through the grass to the little street entering the beach and BAM... we were there.

The owner was easy to talk to and make arrangements with, having a wonderful personality to match. Our children left early Sunday morning while my husband and I stayed behind packing our things. Once packed, we didn't want to leave to return home. We chose to drive to "The Strand" for lunch and spent the biggest portion of the day in a few shops around the island.

I highly recommend this beach house if you are planning to venture to Galveston Island. You will be glad you did - without a doubt enjoying your time of fun in the sun.
